I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN SUCH A LONG WHILE

"Where the actual FUCK have you two been?" demanded Cindy.

While Taylor was struggling to catch her breath and apologize yet again, Karlie didn't seem affected by the fact that they had just dashed across the whole campus. She shifted uncomfortably. "We got lost, sorry," she responded.

Cindy narrowed her eyes, but didn't question further. She turned back to the rest of the audience gazing back at her. "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, since we're the only ones left, we cannot afford to lose any more people. So, you will all be paired up so if one of you gets injured, the other can get help. You must stick with your partners - if you wish to change your partner, come see me before asking anyone else.

"I am going to let you choose your partner, just for the sake of being nice, but once you have chosen, you must come to me so I can register you."

The hall was instantly filled with a roar of noise as people discussed who they should pair with. Some decided instantly, forming a line to the front where Cindy was standing, while others mingled about, indecisive. Karlie and Taylor were one of the first ones up - they had already made their minds up before Cindy had even finished speaking.

After a few minutes, everyone divided into their pairs. Cindy did a quick headcount to make sure everyone was present, then announced the pairs.

"Karlie and Taylor, Kendrick and Lena, Gigi and Cara, Martha and Lily, Zendaya and Serayah, Ellie and Mariska, Hailee and Hayley, Jessica and Ellen, and finally me and Selena. Everyone clear and happy with that?"

A chorus of a murmured 'yes' could be heard throughout the room.

"Great. Now onto the next part - I will be giving you all code names, which you are to refer to each other by. This is so we do not reveal our identities in the case of other survivors that may be hostile."

At that moment, Taylor tripped, causing a loud bang to ring out. She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry."

"Well, there we have it. Our first name. Everyone, Taylor is now going by Catastrophe." Cindy declared.

Applause filled the hall, Cara letting out a bold wolf-whistle.

The rest of the names quickly followed. "Selena, since you love fire, you're now Arsyn."

"Kendrick, Welvin da Great, or Welvin for short."

"Lena, Lucky Fiori, or just Fiori."

"Hailee, Trinity."

"Serayah, Dilemma."

"Gigi, Slay-Z."

"Ellie, Destructa X as your official code name but you may shorten it."

"Martha, Homeslice."

"Cara, Mother Chucker." There were some laughs at this one. Taylor snorted at the indignant, stunned look on her friend's face.

"Zendaya, Cut-throat."

"Hayley, the Crimson Curse."

"Lily, Frostbyte."

"Karlie, Knockout."

"Jessica, Domino."

"Mariska, Justice."

"Ellen, Luna."

"And I will be Headmistress."

i just realized how short my chapters are-

these are kinda fillers/introductions to the world the actual action will start soon with longer chapters i promise :)

i'll try to update more but i can't promise anything because life is unpredictable :P
