It was nearing 1800 in the Scottish Highlands when Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny were rescued by Classified, Short Fuse, Corporal, and Eva just in time that evening. When the Time Force made their way to the North Wind's jet along with the North Wind, they were shocked to see the jet was back in shape again. The North Wind team took the Time Force team back to North Wind Headquarters and the Penguins of Madagascar went with them in one epic flight.

Later, at North Wind Headquarters, Classified, Short Fuse, Corporal, and Eva started getting a debriefing for Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny when they got back there in time. "Alright, tiny humans," said Classified. "You worked those waves of dark, nightmarish  demons that Darkness sent out." "We're still no close to defeating Darkness and his nightmarish minions," said Margo. "No, indeed," said Classified. "We cannot allow Darkness to get away with this division and conquest on his own." "Wait a minute," said Short Fuse. "Has anyone seen that dark human attacking the world?"

"I have, and it sent shivers down my butt," said Sherman. "It sent shivers down my butt, too," replied Penny. Classified tried to figure this out. He tried to figure out why Sherman and Penny said they saw the dark human attacking the world and that it sent shivers down Sherman's butt and down Penny's butt. Eva was confused on that situation, too, and she could hardly believe her wings when she heard Sherman and Penny saying that it was sending shivers down their butts.

"Something seems fishy here," said Classified. "But Classified," Eva told him, "fish IS delicious." "No, Eva," corrected Classified to the owl, "I mean something doesn't seem right about all of this. An angry mob would not be the way to solve this." At last, Corporal spoke. "I propose that we should work together to defeat Darkness and bring him into custody." "Mmm, you got a point there, big fella," said Margo. "We have to strategize a possible way to do so." And she was right.

And so, the Time Force and the North Wind had to think of a way to defeat Pitch Black so they would bring him into custody. But none of the teammates spoke up at all. But nonetheless, they kept on thinking and thinking harder than ever before. Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny didn't see that the way they were thinking hard was sending shivers down their butts and that they had not seen a way to defeat Pitch Black in time. Then, they put their butts next to each other and they had to huddle up with each other as a team. Before speaking up again, Margo, Antonio, Sherman, and Penny were trying to think about a new plan.

"Alright, guys," said Margo. "This is it. The mission we've been preparing for our entire lives: we're going to take down Darkness or die trying to take him down as soon as we can." "Is there anything we can do to defeat Darkness before we can bring him into custody?" Sherman wanted to know. "Well, Sherman," said Margo, "if there is ANYTHING we can do to defeat him and bring him into custody, we have to do it right." "The only way we can do this right is if we take down his dark, nightmarish minions and THEN we can take him down during the final battle," said Penny. "It's not going to be easy, but we can do this as a team of four," said Antonio. "We'll make sure we get Darkness's dark, nightmarish minions eradicated before we can take him down. Right, Penny?" "Yep, that's right, Antonio," said Penny. "You are such an expert at your A-Game when we are working together." "No, definitely not an expert, Penny," said Antonio.

Every day, Mr. Peabody came to the Time Force Headquarters to catch his flight. "Hello," he always said to Margo. "Don't let the silly minecarts tease you. Remember, you have an important job as a special helper in the Time Force Headquarters." There were a lot of minecarts and Margo worked very hard pushing and pulling them into place. There were also a small coach and two strange things her father called cranes. "That's the breakdown train," Gru told Margo. "The cranes are for lifting heavy things like humans and trolleys and minecarts."

One day, Margo was in the yard of the New York City School of Performing Arts. Suddenly, she heard another human whistling. "Help! Help!" A freight train came rushing too fast. Sherman was going too fast and he was frightened. His shoes were on fire. "They're pushing me! They're pushing me!" he panted. "On! On!" laughed the minecarts. Still whistling, "Help! Help!" Poor Sherman disappeared. "I like to teach those minecarts a lesson," said Margo, the mature, oldest girl of Gru. Soon came the alarm. "Sherman is off the line! The breakdown train, quickly!" warned Gru. Margo was coupled on and off they went.
