Thaloria Kingdom: The Queen and The Soldier

Chapter 1

James POV

I hung there looking at Steve wanting him to reach me in time but within a split second I was falling. I scream as I watch Steve get smaller and smaller. I braced myself for impact but nothing happened. I look around and I see what seems to be stars all around me. I don't understand what is happening but I do notice I am still following. I close my eyes and then I land on something that feels like the ground. I open my eyes and see the blue sky. I slowly sit up and look around. I landed in a meadow it seems like. I stand up and look around. I see horses running in the distance. I hear a loud roar and I see what looks to be a dragon. I turn around and I am met with a bunch of men in what looks to be battle armor and they have their weapons pointed at me. I hold my hands up. One of them walks up to me. He removes his helmet and to my surprise who I thought was a he is a she. "State your name and your business" she says. "Uhhhhhh I don't know where I am or how I got here" I say. She looks at me confused. "Did you bump your head or something sir?" she asks. I look around with my eyes. "At this point I think I'm going crazy" I mumble. "Speak up when you talk to General Odessa" one of the men yells at me. "Uh, I don't know if I bumped my head. All I remember is falling from a train and then I landed here "I say. "A train, what is a train?" General Odessa asks with a confused look. I just stand there not knowing what to do. "Tie him up and we shall bring him to the queen." she says. My first thought is to run. "Don't run. It won't work and it will make things a lot worse" General says. I stood there amazed by how she knew what I was thinking.

I was tied up and brought into this beautiful looking castle. We walk for a bit around the castle until we get to two large doors.

They open up to reveal a huge beautiful room.

As we walk in I look around. It was white and gold and had a lot of windows. I look at the floor and it was a shiny marble. I look up to see two thrones one was empty and the other was taken by the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

"You are standing before Queen Solana of Thaloria." I hear a man say.  "Your majesty we found him in the queen's meadow, he says he doesn't know how he got here. He also claims he fell off a train and landed here. We think he may have bumped his head." General Odessa says. I watch as the queen stands. She starts walking towards me. She looks up at me. Her face shows a stern look but her eyes are soft. "Who are you?" she asks me. I stand up straight as best as I can. "Sgt James Barnes, your majesty." I say trying to be as respectful as I can. She gives me a curious look. "Why are you here? Did my sister send you in this ridiculous outfit" the queen questions me. "I don't know why I am here, it seems that I have come from another time or world. I definitely don't know who your sister is. Also I happen to think that this outfit is very flattering. Makes me look good." I say. It was silent and then everyone around me laughs. "I know another time or world seems crazy," I say. "Oh no we aren't laughing about that"  the queen says. "Your outfit is not flattering at all," the general laughs. I roll my eyes. After they stop laughing the queen goes back to her throne. "I have never heard of this before, therefore I don't trust you. Put him in a room but keep it guarded." the queen says. The general nods. "Let's go, you" she says. I was practically dragged away. I looked back at the queen. She was watching me intently. The doors close and I was dragged up to a room. "You will stay here until you are told otherwise and we will try to find you some flattering clothes" the general says. She shuts the door and I hear her lock it. I sigh and look around the room. It was a big room but it was very nice. Fewer windows, a large bed, and a fireplace.

I sit down on the bed and sigh. What am I doing here? And why didn't I die on the train? I had so many questions going through my head.
