after the death of his late girlfriend maeve donovan, spencer reid found himself in a dark place. he was determined to focus on his well-being and what her death meant in terms of how he'd move on. which ultimately meant no distractions.

but when the bau employs dr. mabel keaton, a transfer from the bau establishment in los angeles, california, spencer finds himself slipping into the light. the young woman emitted a joyful atmosphere spencer just couldn't resist.

AUTHOR'S NOTE - this story takes place in s9, pretend maeve donovan was the finale bc the real one didn't make much sense - emma is very similar to april kepner but different in a way. i love april kepner and just wanted to use her for a story. and i'm using like three people from grey's anatomy but that's okay :) - even though it's placed in season 9, it won't follow the cases/plots closely, except for a few. - enjoy!
