A few years have have passed, and your family has grown. Ethan has grown into a healthy, curious toddler full of energy and wonder. You and Wiliam have settled into the roles of parents, each day a mixture of challenges and joyous moments.

Life is filled with laughter, family bonding, and watching your little one learn and grow. Despite the occasional sleepless nights and hectic moments, the love between you has only grown stronger, creating a loving and supportive environment for yourselves and Ethan.

You're in the kitchen one day, going over cooking instructions with one of the maids when Ethan walks into the room. His little footsteps echo on the floor, and his wide, innocent eyes take in the scene before him.

He toddles over to you, a small hand reaching up to tug at your skirt, a silent plea for your attention.

Ethan, with a small pout on his face, looks up at you and nods quietly. However, there's a hint of distress in his eyes.

"I lost my toy," he says softly, his voice barely louder than a whisper. His gaze shifts downward, a hint of sadness evident in his expression, as he mumbles about his missing toy.

You look at the maid and motion at the half made dish, "do you think you can do it on your own?"

The maid nods, a reassuring smile on her face.

"Of course, Mrs. Coldwell. I've been paying attention to your instructions. Go take care of your little one," she replies, a gentle understanding in her eyes.

You nod and take Ethan's small hand in yours and walk into the living room.

"Where was the last place you saw it?"

Ethan's small fingers wrap around yours as you lead him into the living room. His innocent eyes look up at you as he answers your question.

"In the garden," he says softly, his little voice tinged with a hint of disappointment. Tears well up in his eyes, his attachment to his toy evident as he sniffles quietly.

"Ok, then we'll go there to look for it. Come on."

Ethan follows you obediently, his small steps quickening as he hopes to find his lost toy. As you reach the garden, the bright sunlight filters through the leaves, and the garden comes to life with the gentle buzz of insects and the gentle rustle of leaves.

His eyes scan the area, searching every nook and cranny for his toy, his disappointment clear on his small face when he doesn't see it immediately.

You see his toy lying near the gazebo, so you crouch down to Ethan's level and motion towards the toy.

"There it is."

Ethan's expression immediately brightens as he spots his toy. His eyes light up with excitement, and a wide grin spreads across his face.

"There it is!" he exclaims, his small body buzzing with excitement and relief. He runs towards the toy, his small footsteps pattering on the grass, until he reaches it, picking it up with triumph.

The toy, a small, worn stuffed animal, is held tightly in his little hands as he cuddles it close to his chest.

Ethan runs back towards you, his small legs carrying him as fast as they can. His face is filled with pure joy, the lost toy retrieved and safe in his hands.

When he reaches you, he practically leaps into your arms, his little body full of excitement and relief. His small arms wrap around your neck in a tight embrace, his laughter echoing through the garden.

He snuggles closely to you, feeling the warmth and comfort of your embrace. His small fingers cling to your clothing, and his soft puffs of breath fan your skin as he cuddles against you. His toy is held securely in his hand, the object of his previous distress now a source of happiness and comfort once more.
