The sun was already dipped below the horizon when we stepped out of the school gates, a lazy chill spreading through the air.
I shoved my hands into the pockets of my coat, the edge of my scarf brushing against my cheek. Yeonji was latched onto my arm as usual, her small frame practically hanging off me.
“Nabi, you think this scarf makes my face look too round?” she asked, tugging at the knit fabric wrapped around her neck.
I glanced at her and smirked. “Your face is always round, scarf or not.”
