"I killed Reyansh." Came her Abrupt statement, leaving Adranksh shocked. 

"Di, it's not a time to do stupid pranks. You should go and sleep." He asserted, waiting for her to say that she was pranking.

Silence with Simran's heavy breathing was heard from the other side of the call. Fear gripped his heart, a trail of sweat tingling down his forehead in anticipation. 

"I killed Reyansh." Her voice rasped, struggling to catch breath. 

"What are you saying Di? You both loved each other. Even you both were planning for baby..."his voice trailed off, leaving the sentence incomplete.

"Please come to Australia as soon as possible." blabbering with shaky breath, the line got cut from the other end. 

Adranksh slumped over the chair with distress look. Facepalming himself he tried to think rationally but it seems that nothing was working at that moment. Numbness shackling him, restricting from thinking anything. 

Simran attempted a murder. She killed her own husband. 

Switching his phone on Adranksh book his flight to Australia which he will board next morning. His focus and concentration have been variably lost after he the news. Thinking of return home back and spending time with family was what he desires now. 

He collected his phone, laptop, files and other material, all ready to leave. Crease were visible on his forehead depicting his current situation and emotions. 

A knock.

He gave his permission to the person to enter inside while he stood near his table. The pion entered inside, closing the door behind him.

"Sir is calling you in his cabin." he said nonchalantly, moving ahead to clean the office as it was evening now.

Nodding his head positively Adranksh moved out of the cabin, making his way to Mr. Shah cabin. He has been working in his firm for past five years and have a great respect for him. Mr. Shah is a strict and well-disciplined and expect the same qualities of the officer working under him. With his hard work of twenty years, he has made his firm renowned all over the world. 

He is Adranksh's inspiration. Watching his interviews, reading articles and books written by him inspired Adranksh to study criminal justice and after his all-hard work today he is among the most famous criminal investigator. People from other firms have offered him cores of money to join their firm but he denied their offer because he doesn't want to miss the opportunity to work under Mr. Shah. 

He was satisfied with his 125k salary. 

Knocking on the cabin door he waited outside until he was granted with permission to enter inside. Hearing the rough voice of Mr. Shah, he entered inside, standing in front of him with chest puffed and head held high. 

"Officer Adranksh you are leaving for Australia tomorrow, next morning. And remember that is this is a confidential case which can't be disclose in front of public or media." He affirmed with that same rough voice, "The famous businessman Reyansh D'souza have found dead in his house in the midnight. Reyansh's brother doubt that it's not a natural death. Someone has murder Reyansh for their benefits or revenge. He needs the best investigator who can handle the case with delicate. So, I have chosen you and one of my officers from Australia whom you are going to report everything." he continued, tossing the paper weight between his long fingers. 

Adranksh breath caught in his throat, making it difficult for him to breath. The room abruptly felt smaller, suffocating him. He is assigned with a case where his brother-in-law murder and the murderer is Simran.
