attending, even after he had found out
about his daughter and Marco Rodriguez

Jack, Travis and Marco walk into the reception area when seeing Andy come out of the captain's office, "Why is it every time I start my shift, I get slammed with a mountain of surprises?" Captain Herrera questioned, looking at the file of papers she sets down onto the reception desk.
"What surprises?"
Marco furrowed his eyebrows, "New boots?" Andy told her Co-captain, "You approved new boots?" She repeated, looking at Jack, "We needed some. Everybody wanted them." Jack admitted.
Andy looked at Marco, who didn't say a word from beside his friends' side, "It's—" Travis shook his head at the look, "It's a big expense, Jack." Andy stated when Travis walked away, looking at her Co-captain and her lieutenant, "The kind of decisions Co-captains might discuss and eventually co-sign, unless one of the captains thought they no longer had to discuss decisions with the other captain because he felt he was somehow already captain." Andy claimed, where Marco saw that more of the team came to where their captains spoke.
Andy walked towards her office, "Just boots, Herrera. Just boots." The Co-captain claimed, walking to the captain's office as Andy closed the door behind him.
Marco shoved his hands into his pockets, "You think we won't get the new boots now?" He asked his friends, "No, new boots are not worth this." Vic stated, looking at her friends, "They been bickering all week."
"Bishop," Victoria nudged Maya, "You speak Herrera. Go make it stop." The firefighter claimed, as Maya looked at her fellow firefighters, "Well, she is tired of me interfering. She told me to back off. You were there." Maya said, looking at the Hughes female.
Vic then looked at her friends as Maya's cellphone ring, moving away from the situation, "Don't back. Backing is bad." Vic's hands slapped her thighs as she looked at the three males, "I'm not getting in the middle of that." Travis said about his Co-captains, "Nah, we're good."
Andy looked at her firefighters through the blinds as they all scattered, expect for Marco who looked right back at his captain, before moving away when Andy shut the blinds.

The Rodriguez male stopped where he was, seeing Vic showing Ben how to find the centre point, "The truck is to find the centre point and hand the lines equally so they dried evenly and don't mildew." Vic stated to their rookie.
"You think that once we finish here, we could take a break and, uh, go and try out the VR Fire Stimulation Goggles that Jack got?" Ben asked as Vic and him walked away, with Marco now trailing behind them, "It isn't an amusement park, Warren."
