"My papa always told me to never hunt in a dense forest...the animals know it better than us..."

"Hah! Well animals are stupid. Who cares if they know it better than we do, we are smarter!"

    "Guys...quiet down i think i hear something..."

"Will everyone just shut up! I raised a pack of hunters, not some annoying boys that talk all the time!" Jack looked back at his hunters as he spoke.

It shut them up quite quickly. Everyone's attention was back on the hunt, on the sound of birds chirping, the sound of pigs wailing. The sound of wind singing against the tree's leaves.

Roger merely stared at Jack. Watching his every move. Chief was always so...planned. His every move, every step he took was mapped, every word he spoke had thought behind it. Roger couldn't help but laugh.

"There. In the distance. You three circle around back. Roger you flank the left, everyone else stay here." Jack watched as his hunters spread out. He moved to the pigs right. He stared at its blue eyes. How it ate so peacefully unaware of the danger that surrounded it. Jack heard the sound of a branch snapping behind him.

Merridew ran out into the clearly, spear in hand he lunged. As the pig began to flee the others soon surrounded it leaving it no space to escape. Roger's spear struck into its throat letting it bleed to death.

"That's one. I heard the sound of a second pig behind us. We shall put an end to its misery before we return to camp." Jack spun around on his ankles as he began to trot over to his hiding spot. He noticed a broken lens on the ground where he had been.

"Everything is coming along perfectly~ Once his asthma kicks in he'll be over with." Roger thought to himself. He could see the fat boy running in between the trees. Every branch snapping against his stomach. Roger's eyes focused on the bruises on his dumb body.

"Chief! I see the pig running away!" Roger yelled before he began the chase. He knew the other boys would follow along, Jack had trained them so obediently after all.

Jack watched as the hunters began to run after Roger to kill the pig. Jack's gaze went back to the single glass lens. He picked it up looking into it. Thats when he saw it. The reflection of Ralph.

"What are you doing here. This is my zone Ralph." Jack spoke coldly, his voice snapping at the silence. "We voted on that."

"Like you care about the rules. Now tell me where Piggy went. He told me he was coming to the forest to make a deal with you and your...hunters." Ralph snapped back.

"I have no idea what nonsense you speak of. I'd never deal with the likes of you two."

"Piggy wouldn't lie to me."

"It's not my problem your dumb friendship is falling apart." Jack turned to Ralph pointed his finger at the boy. He poked it into his chest with each word "as i already told you. I had no part in your fattie's disappearance."

"Then why did Roger come to our camp? Why did he tell us he had a message to Piggy from you."

"...i never..." Merridew muttered under his breath. "I simply wanted to remind him on how he should join the hunters. Besides there was a feast tonight."

The two boys were interrupted by a scream. The sound of a fatboy gasping for air as his asthma took him to the ground. The scent of iron would once more fill the air. The panicked gasps of air now replaced by the singing of a choir. Jack would leave Ralph once more to see what had happened. As he came from behind a tree he saw it. Roger standing over Piggy's dead body. The hunters were playing with it, poking it and yelling insults at it. Piggy's body was mangled, it looked like he had been hit by quite a large stone as his right leg was fractured. The bone visible even from 10 feet away.

"Thats what you get for calling Chief a problem."

"Why don't we bring him back and cook him!"

"Ew im not eating the pig of a human!"

"Always complaining about food~ he'd eat himself in a heartbeat!"

The boys' comments only continued over and over again. Jack could hear Ralph's footsteps approaching. He turned to face Ralph. He quickly approached him, and before Ralph saw Piggy he placed his hand upon his lips. He pushed down to muffled any noises from the boy as Ralph's eyes came into contact with Piggy's corpse.

"Shhh...they can't know you saw..." Jack whispered into Ralph's ear. He stood so his body blocked Ralph from view. Their arms side by side. Jack watched as Ralph began to weep. The boy's tears falling down his cheeks.

"Ill deal with it..." Jack muttered loud enough for Ralph to hear. "Just...shut up."

Jack began his way over to Roger who was currently jumping on Piggy. It was a disgusting sight, the boy acting like Piggy's body was a bouncy castle. Jack opened his mouth to speak.

"Roger. What the hell do you think you are doing! Did i once give you the order to run off! Did i tell you to lead the hunters away! No! You are seriously acting out of line these past days!" Jack got closer to Roger to put him back into place. Jack lifted his hand to punch Roger in the stomach once more.

"Dumb move Merridew~" Roger spoke as he lifted his spear. He thrust it forward separating the skin of Jack's palm. The spear went straight through the flesh.

"FUCK! GOD OW! ROGER WHAT THE HELL!" Jack screamed in pain. Roger quickly withdrew his spear causing blood to spew out of Jack's fresh wood. His hand quickly went from a pale pink to a crimson red, the blood dripping down his wrist.

"Get rid of him boys." Roger spoke, not to Jack but to the hunters. Jack's eyes darted to his right. One of his hunters was holding their spear ready to end Merridew like they had Piggy.

The boy pulled back his arm ready to throw, however the spear would merely land on the ground beside his feet. The boy falling to the ground soon after. Ralph had grabbed Jack's spear...which he used to stab the boy dead.

The other hunters began to circle in, now on both Ralph and Jack. The ginger looked empty, his eyes were on his palm, his body was paler than normal. Merridew's breathing was speeding up more and more as he stared at his bloodied hand.

"Hunters! I said get rid of him!" Roger yelled, his voice sounding childish, he was pissed Jack wasn't disposed of already.

Ralph stared at Jack, his trembling body, his... watering eyes. Ralph grabbed Jack's arm forcefully, his fingers like a vice grip. He yanked on the redhead as he began to run. Ralph was practically dragging Jack along behind him but he didn't care. He didn't have time to care. Ralph couldn't bring them back to his original camp...not now. Ralph continued to run, not sure where to, and not sure when he'd stop.

"Ralph..." Jack's voice sounded weak. He looked worse than before. "I... why did you save me..."

Ralph didn't speak. It's not that he didn't want to, he wasn't able to bring himself to speak. Ralph slowed down his running as he turned to face the paling boy.

"I...i dont want to lose you..."
