Jisung was 7 when he first saw him. Brunette hair and doe eyes. He was quiet but that didn't matter to Jisung.
What did matter was the fact that he was three years older than Jisung. 7 and 10. Well, it only mattered once Jisung was in 5th grade. Of course, that didn't stop him from texting his ridiculous fantasy to Felix and Hyunjin, his two closest friends.
He's in the same grade as your older brother!! Felix would say to try and fizzle out this delusional crush. Hyunjin however, only fed the fire.
Jisung had two older brothers and then his oldest sibling was his sister. His sister told him everything and in return he told her everything. She knew about this little crush and would keep tabs on him since she was in the grade above him and often saw him at school. They would spend nights in her room giggling over boys until their father opened the door and turned off the light saying he could hear the laughter from across the house.
His brothers however, were closer to each other than to Jisung. It's not like he could talk to them about boys anyway. Neither of them swung that way. Jace was a year younger than their sister, Olivia, and three years older than Jisung. June, although sounding like a girly name, was Jisungs brother only a year older than him and Hyunjin was their shared friend.
Hyunjin would feed Jisungs delusions since he himself usually went after guys 1 or 2 years older than him. Jisung would indulge in his silly little crush with the intention of letting it die out before high-school.
...but it didn't. All those "intentions" were thrown out the window the minute he saw the boy himself standing in his kitchen waiting for Jace to stop rummaging through the pantry.
Jisung stopped in his tracks completely in shock. He turned on his heel before he did something stupid.
"No way." Hyunjin said over the call.
"Yes way, dude! I almost melted onto the floor!" Han whisper screams into his phone so the ingredients to the tea don't overhear.
Han Jisung in all his 13 year old glory never expected to see Lee Minho in his kitchen. He immediately texts his sister and waits a bit for her to respond.
He decides to face his stupid crush and get his half of the donut from the pantry as an excuse to be acknowledged by the sophomore in his house.
Just as he's about to leave his room, he sees Olivia text back. He doesn't have the chance to read it but he can glance to see it involves all caps and a lot of exclamation and question marks.

His hand burns on the handle of his truck. He got his license at the end of his driver's Ed. The summer sun beats down on the road and his black car absorbs all the heat.
It's the summer before his junior year. He finally doesn't have sports in the way of hanging out with friends so he took up the offer to stay the night at his friend Jaces' place.
He pulls into the right address and locks his car before going into the house with his overnight bag slung over one shoulder.
A taller girl he recognizes from the grade above him walks out the door as he approaches. Keys in hand and black long hair flowing behind her, she just smiles and walks past.
The door is still open as if she expected him to close it behind him when he walks in. So he does exactly that.
Jace is already waiting for him at the entryway. "Hi Minho! You can set your bag down. Let's get some snacks, I want to watch a movie."
Minho just stands there as Jace looks for some salt and vinegar chips he swore they had.
He hears the pitter patter of feet on tile. He turns his head a bit to see someone walking away. His hair is black and a bit longer with curls framing the glimpse that Minho caught of his face. His oversized dark green hoodie fell past his ass and his too-long Jean shorts reached his knees.
Minho felt his cheeks heat up just the slightest bit before Jace came out of the pantry with half a bag of barbecue chips.
"That's just my little brother Jisung. He can be annoying so just ignore him." Jace says.
Jisung....cute..

A/n: sooooooo, this story is actually based off of some real events that happened when I was in 7th grade mixed in with some fantasies that I wished happened. I got the idea to write it after listening to "older" by Isabel LaRosa so go check her out. There was this boy in my church that was like three or four years older than me and I was delusional so a couple of locked eyes turned into me crushing over a boy I only ever saw on Sundays and Wednesday nights. This one crush turned into me realizing that I only ever really date/am into people 2-4 years older than me, which is funny because my older sister is 4 years older than me and will date guys 1 or 2 years younger than her so our age preference is in the same range🏃♀️ Even the family dynamic is based off my own family. Except the ages are different and I'm the middle child instead of the youngest like jisung in this au. I have my oldest brother who is 8 years older than me, my sister who's 4 years older than me, and then my little brother who's three years younger than me. Sorry for family dumping on yall Lmao. The dynamic isn't completely similar to mine but I took some inspiration. Hope you like it!! (No illegal things shall happen in this fanfic. If they are to do anything it will be after jisung turns the age of consent.)
