I was hungry.

Really hungry.

Keigo was back to his agency, and there was no breakfast.

There wasn't any food in the fridge.

Or at least, not enough.

There was a note.

'Sorry, forgot to buy food! Eat out or something! ;)'

"Well, let's hurry up and find some breakfast place!" Doshi said from beside me.

"I should bring my phone too, right?"

"Yeah, maybe you should check if you got any messages too."

I hadn't checked that thing since I talked with Keigo two days ago. I doubted I had any messages though, my only contacts right now were Keigo, Denki, Mina, and Sero. It was a double increase since before school though! That fact alone made me smile a little.

I found my phone and then walked out of the house. Contrary to my belief, I had 22 texts and two missed calls.

"Holy shit..." I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Why do I have so many notifications?"

I then expanded to see the senders.

I had two texts from Sero, asking if I was okay after USJ, one text from Mina from 03:21 tonight asking what I was doing, and 2 missed calls and 19 texts from Denki, most of them unreadable bullshit.

I answered all of them with a little something, not having the energy to reply enthusiastically, and continued my search for breakfast.

---3rd person POV---

At the same time that the 300-year-old teen and the spirit were walking through the city, an anxious mind wandered through the streets of the same city, skipping school for the fifth time this month. The boy had been on edge for a while now. He had been as of the week before the UA entrance exam to be precise. The boy had quite the unique quirk, a quirk most would be sceptical to if it really existed. See, this boy could see, sense, and communicate with spirits that existed outside of our living realm. However, since he was the only one amongst his peers that could do so, as a child, people would think he had just a wild imagination. But seeing as this didn't change even as he got older, and his odd speculations always seemed to turn out correct, his fellow humans did believe him in the end.

The boy was more known amongst the local spirits though, or 'ghosts' as people often called them. Being the only one in the living realm able to communicate with the spirits that were still on Earth, not having yet crossed to the realm of the dead, made him a hot topic to all spirits. Amongst them he was known as 'The talker' or 'The seer'. Not only locals though, it wouldn't at all be strange if you found spirits talking about him on the other side of Japan, or even in a faraway land! Why? Because spirits travelled, and everything spread fast. It was safe to say that the blue haired boy was a world-famous celebrity.

What was it that was troubling this boy then? Well, it had been a long while since he saw even one spirit. Usually, there would be various around every corner, and dozens on every street. He had travelled to the neighbouring cities too, but the case was the same there. Not one spirit in sight.

It seemed completely deserted, but it felt like the complete opposite.

There was an overwhelming presence lingering around the whole area. No one else seemed to notice, so it was clear that it had to do with his quirk. Was this what had made the other spirits flee? In that case, what was it, and why was it here?
