꧁𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐯꧂

Bella, Kovu, and I were at Bella's truck, an open book in Bella's hand. I was fixing Kovu's jacket, making sure it was perfect and in place.

Our eyes were on the arriving kids and the parking lot as they pulled in.

Bella was waiting for Edward as I was thinking about the soul I ate last night after that stupid dream.

Jessica, Angela, Mike, Eric, and some other girl, I think her name was Lauren, kicked around a soccer ball nearby. "Bella! Kovu! Evangeline!" Tyler called out to us.

Bella lifted her book, Kovu smiled sympathetically at them as I wasn't giving them the time of day, I didn't really care. I saw the Cullens arrive, no Jasper, no Edward.

'𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠'

I walked into my geography class and looked at my seat, no Jasper but I did see a bouquet of flowers on my desk. I picked them up, looking at the note that was there.

'𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬' signed Jasper.

I was used to getting flowers from suitors when I was a human and I would usually throw them away or put them on my mother's grave but this felt different, these were my favorite flowers.

Spider Lilies and Dark Red Roses.

I smiled as I smelled them, squeezing them softly as I took a deep breath. "Miss Johnson, can you please sit down"

Her words didn't register in my mind at first.

"Miss Johnson," the teacher said again, making me look at her. I sat down as the teacher started teaching, looking at the flowers, not even paying attention to the lesson.

At lunch, Bella and Kovu sat with Jessica, Lauren, and Angela who watched a YouTube video on their phone.

Jessica immediately spoke as I walked up. "Jasper sent you flowers!" Jessica said as I looked at her, the flowers in my hand. "It seems" I spoke casually.
