Måneskin - Torna a casa

We'll walkdown this street

and i'll never get tired,

until time brings white onto your hair.

Lucian's POV

As we ran over to our usual hangout spot, the night air was filled with our laughter, an echo of our recent victory. The adrenaline was still pumping through our veins, making us feel invincible. We stumbled into the small clearing, panting and grinning, the tension from the train fading into a euphoric high.

Seraphina, her black silver hair catching the moonlight, turned to Zephyr with a teasing glint in her eye. "I thought you were going to take that girl home, Zeph. The tension between you two was almost suffocating!" Her laughter was like a melody, light and carefree.

Zephyr smirked, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. "Yeah, I sure thought about it, but after looking at her for a while, she was just a piece of... well, let's just say she wasn't worth the effort." His eyes twinkled with mischief.

Avaia, ever the playful one, gave me a gentle push. "Your brother is getting some action, huh? What about you, Lucian? You got something to tell us?" She laughed, the sound rich and contagious.

I couldn't help but join in the fun. "Hey, come on, I could pull girls in my sleep." I mimed falling asleep, my body going limp before bursting into laughter with the rest of them. Dorian, always the unpredictable one, suddenly stopped and threw his hands up to the sky. "YES, I DIDN'T ACTUALLY THINK WE COULD DO IT!" he yelled, his voice filled with genuine awe. He clasped his hands together as if in prayer, looking up at the stars.

The random outburst sent us all into fits of laughter, our mirth echoing through the night. It was such a pure, unfiltered moment of joy that we couldn't contain ourselves."You should have seen your face, Dorian!" Seraphina teased, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes. "You looked like you just saw a miracle."Dorian grinned sheepishly, his emerald eyes sparkling. "Well, it kinda feels like we did. We pulled it off, guys. We really did."

Zephyr leaned back against a tree, a rare, genuine smile on his face. "I have to admit, I didn't think we'd get this far either. But here we are, kicking ass and taking names."

Avaia's cobber wire hair stretched out on the grass, her eyes closed as she soaked in the moment. "It's nights like these that make all the crap we go through worth it."I nodded, my heart swelling with affection for my friends. "Yeah, we're a pretty good team, aren't we?"

Seraphina's eyes sparkled with her usual charm. "The best. We've got each other's backs, no matter what."We settled into a comfortable silence, each of us lost in our thoughts. The camaraderie we shared was palpable, a bond forged in the fires of adversity. We were more than just friends; we were family.

Dorian broke the silence, his voice soft but earnest. "You know, I wouldn't trade this for anything. Not the danger, not the fear. Because in the end, it's all worth it to have moments like this."Zephyr raised an eyebrow, a sly grin playing on his lips. "Even if it means putting up with my charming self?"Dorian laughed, shaking his head. "Especially that. Someone's got to keep you grounded."

Avaia opened one eye, a playful smirk on her face. "And what about you, Seraphina? Any charming guards catch your eye tonight?"Seraphina scoffed, though her smile was warm. "Please, like I'd give them the time of day. I'm too busy keeping you all out of trouble."I chuckled, the sound mixing with the gentle rustle of leaves. "And we appreciate it. Seriously, though, we did well tonight. We made our mark."
