It was none other than Kevin. He picked up the license and read the name: "Ava Adams."

"Hmm," he muttered, staring at her as she walked away.

This incident reminded him of a crush he had on a stranger during his trip to New York. His mind drifted back to that time...

Suddenly, a voice called out, holding two beer bottles, "I admit you win! But bro, how do you always win?"

Kevin smiled and replied, "It's a talent you won't get," and winked.

The voice belonged to his best friend, Martin Grant, a businessman who had joined him in a race to this spot. They always came here to chill.

As they sipped their beers, Martin asked, "So, what's up with that Mr. Well project? Have you landed it, or are you still working on it?"

Kevin retorted, "Not quite yet! But

remember, Kevin Miller never lets a

project slip through his fingers,"

giving a playful wink.

Martin inquired, "What's brewing in that mind of yours, buddy?"

Kevin retorted, "Just wait and see."

As they wrapped up their beers,

Martin suggested, "Let's hit our

regular spot and toast to your

upcoming triumph. That project is as

good as yours."

Upon arriving at the club, Kevin and Martin immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere, indulging in drinks and laughter. Amidst the dimly lit surroundings, Kevin's attention was drawn to Laura, a captivating figure radiating confidence and allure. With a confident stride, he approached her, a playful glint in his eyes.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the enchanting Laura," Kevin greeted her with a suave smile, his voice dripping with charm. "What brings someone as captivating as you to a place like this?"

Laura raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips as she met his gaze. "Isn't it obvious?" she quipped, her tone teasing. "I'm here to let loose and have some fun. And you, Kevin? Are you here to stir up some trouble?"

Kevin chuckled, drawing nearer to her with a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Without a doubt," he admitted, his voice taking on a husky tone. "But you're no stranger to challenges, Laura. Care to join me in a little adventure?"

Laura's laughter danced in the air, her eyes gleaming with intrigue. "Oh, I do love a good challenge," she teased, her fingertips tracing a tantalizing path along his arm. "Consider my interest thoroughly piqued, Kevin. Now, let's see if you can keep up."

As their lips met in a passionate embrace, Kevin found himself consumed by a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Despite the intensity of the moment, his mind kept drifting back to Ava, her image haunting his thoughts like a persistent ghost. In a sudden surge of frustration, he pushed away from Laura, his heart heavy with a newfound sense of turmoil.

This unexpected reaction baffled Kevin, leaving him grappling with emotions he had never experienced before. Never before had a woman's presence affected him so profoundly, disrupting the carefully crafted walls around his heart. With a sense of unease gnawing at him, Kevin retreated to the solitude of his home, grappling with the realization that perhaps, just perhaps, there was more to Ava than he had ever dared to imagine.
