The Perfect Storm

A Beginning To A End

The walk from school to my house wasn't really a long walk . it was about a fifteen minute walk. When I finally made it home I got into the shower and went into my room and cut the tv on. I wanted to see if there was any update about the storm. As soon as I cut on my tv the news was already on. "Hello it's Micheal Owens reporting to you live once again. It seems the storm  is coming earlier then seven thirty and we will like for no one to be outside when it comes. Everyone make sure to be in their house and to not go outside until the storm is over. I repeat do not come outside until the storm is over ".

The news went off and I looked at my phone to check the time. It was only four -forty -five. I still had time to go to the store market and the store was only a few minutes from my house.

I put my shoes on and grabbed the money my mom gave me from my pocket and went outside. The sun was still out and it did not seem like it was going to storm today. I began to walk the back street way to the store market it was quicker. Before I made it to the store market I already knew what I was going to get for my mom. I thought maybe I could make her dinner and put it up for her.

I was in the market for about fifteen minutes I grabbed cool aid packages , Mac and cheese, and some chicken along with mashed potatoes. As I was at check out and checking the stuff out. I looked out the store and couldn't help to notice something was off.

Two man were in the middle of the parking lot fighting. It looked as is one of them had blood dripping from his mouth and there was something about the way he way he was walking and moving. He got ahold of the other man and began to bite into his neck making him fall to the floor. My heart dropped and I couldn't say a word as if something was stopping me from yelling I felt as bye tears began to flow down my face and the man was on top of him biting him.

"HE''S KILLING HIM". one of the ladies cried out in the store. Two of the other man that were in the market instantly ran outside grabbing the man off the other man. " he's dead" the lady cried out but no he wasn't his hand was still moving but there were lots of blood coming from his neck. the man that bite into the man neck grabbed one of the man that came out the store and began to bite him then the man they thought were dead got up from the ground.

It was blood gushing from his neck and he began to walk the same way the other man did. He came from behind and grabbed the other man and bite him. I hurried and began to run out the store as everyone began to panic. I had no idea what was going on. I ran into the back alley with tears coming down my face.

I hurried and pulled out my phone as I was running home calling my mom to tell her what happened but she didn't answer. Her phone went straight to voice mail. I finally made it home and locked all the doors.

A few hours passed and I was laying in my bed checking my phone everyone second waiting for my mom to text back but the service on my phone wasn't working. I tried calling Spirit but my calls weren't going threw to her either. I had a bad feeling that something was off.

Time passed and I found myself falling asleep. I woke up to loud banging on the door causing me to instantly get up I grabbed my phone and it was five missed calls from my mom and a bunch of messages.

I ran downstairs and looked threw the peep whole. It was my mom and she was covered in blood. I instantly unlocked  the door opening it. She ran inside the house and locked door. " What's going on"? I asked " why are you covered in blood "?

"Jessie not right now " mom said putting both her hands on my face. " I need you to listen okay .... Go upstairs pack everything you can we need to go now" she said. I looked out her confused " NOW JESSIE" she yelled. I hurried and ran upstairs to my room and began to pack all the things I could. " Jessie"? Mom said as she ran up the stairs. " come on " she said then I grabbed my bags.

" Mom is that a gun "? I asked as she clocked it back before opening the house door. " stay close by me" she said then opened the door.

There were people running to their cars and running down the street. I had no idea what was going on. Mom was in the car trying to start it up and I was standing outside of it watching her. I heard the neighbors door open then I watched as her so came out their house. He was covered with blood all over his mouth, He looked very pale as if he had a bad fever, and he was walking with a limp how the man at the store market was. "What's wrong with him "I cried out as he began to walk towards me.

Mom grabbed my arm and yanked me to the car. We got into the car and mom began to drive. "Mom what's going on "? I cried out. " I don't have time to explain right now I just had to get you safe " she said as we were driving I looked out the window and there were people getting attacked by others and bitten. I couldn't help but to cry as I watched. "Stop watching" mom said then began to drive faster. As she driving something came out of nowhere hitting the car causing us to crash into the tree.

Everything went black for a few moments, my vision was going in and out , and my head was spinning. "'Jessie" I could hear my mom yelling but my hearing low . My vision began to come back and I could see more clear. I felt my head and there was blooding coming from it. That's when  I began to feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I looked down and there was a hug piece of glass from the car window in the center on my stomach and there was lots of blood. I began to scream out in pain.

" It's okay Jessie " mom said with tears forming in her eyes. Then hurrying out the car coming to the passenger side and opening the door. " I have to get you out of here" she said then put my arm over her shoulder. As soon as we turned around there was a little girl in front of us she looked as if she was about five years old. She was holding a teddy bear and it was blood dripping from it as it was coming from her mouth she was breathing very heavy and didn't say a word she just looked at us. That's when I noticed her eyes they were grey as if she was blind. She opened up her mouth and her teeth were rotten.

She began to walk faster towards me and mom holding both of her hand out. Mom pulled out her gun and shot her in her head causing me to jump. "Come on " she said then we began to walk. Every time I took a step the pain would get worse and worse. " I can't" I said stopping to catch my breath. Mom looked around then looked at me "Jessie I know it hurts but you we have to keep going " mom said.

I took a few deep breaths then we began to walk. We made it to the back of someone house and stopped there mom helped me sit down on the floor then she lifted my shirt up halfway. The cut was big and there was lots of blood coming from it.

" I have to take it out" mom said looking at me. "NO" I yelled " it hurts ". I know baby but if I don't you're going to keep bleeding " she said then  teared a piece of her shirt then grabbed a stick from off the ground. " it's going to hurt but it's going to be quick" she said. My mom was a doctor so I knew she knew what she was doing.

" Okay you ready "? Mom asked " count to three". 1 , 2 . And without saying three mom pulled the piece of glass from out my stomach. I began to cry out in pain as mom hurried and wrapped her piece a shirt around it squeezing it tight. "Everything's going to be okay" mom said. My vision began to blur and mom voice began to fade but I could hear her talking and before I knew it everything went black.
