The Perfect Storm

Awhile after driving to the pharmacy I noticed we began to slow down then shortly after we began to stop." What's going on "? I asked as both the cars were parked on the side of the road then James got out the car.

"Wait right here " I said to Nick before getting out the car myself to see what was going  on.  I followed behind James walking over to Branden's car. Branden had  a map out covering half of the front car. " what's going on "? I asked them Branden pointed at the Map. "Where here " he said " The Pharmacy is about ten minutes away from us we have to walk the rest".

" Walk"? Lu asked confused  peaking her head out the car window. " Yes walk" Branden said. "the pharmacy might be filled with walkers and if so we can attract them with the sound of our cars and that can cause a Hurd. We don't have enough gun power or enough people to deal with a Hurd ". He said then grabbed his bag from the back seat of the car putting the map inside of it.

I went back to the car and began to grab me and some of Nick things that he bought. " where are we're going "? Nick asked as he was cleaning off the front of his glasses. "We're walking the rest" I said he let out a big sigh then looked at me for a few seconds before getting out of the car.

After walking for what felt like hours in the hot sun. we finally made it to the pharmacy. There were two walkers standing in front of it. " I got this ".  Greg said pulling out his knife. He ran up to both the walkers getting them from behind stabbing them both in their heads then he began to walk towards to pharmacy. " Go over to Lu" I said to Nick then ran over to James.

" What you doing "? James asked when he seen me. "I'm going with you.... Ain't no telling how many walkers are inside the pharmacy. I said  pulling  out my arrows. I let out a sigh before Greg opened the Pharmacy door. Ain't no telling what was behind here and we needed to be prepared.

Greg opened the door and we instantly got on point waiting to see a walker our anything but there weren't any walkers inside the pharmacy. " let me check the back " Greg said " You stay here just incase some come. " It's clear " I yelled to the others. They grabbed all their bags from the ground then all began to come inside the pharmacy. "Grab anything  that might be useful... Food, medicine , water Anything. " Branden said then we all began to look around the pharmacy.

I went towards the back looking for things. Their was a shelf filled with snacks , corn chips , Reese's , and a few other things. But there wasn't much in the pharmacy. You could tell there were others here and they took some things. I picked up the snacks to check the date. They were all expired for at least nine months but it was still something and Nick loved Reese's.  I walked back in the front and began to look around finding more stuff to grab. But the shelfs in the front were cleared. Lu came from the back showing me some things she found. " Oh and I can't forget this. "Antibiotics " she said happily holding them up. I didn't know what we needed antibiotics for but she sure was happy to have them.

Time passed and we were all on the way driving back to where we set up. Nick was in the back of the car asleep. I climbed to the front on the passenger side while James was driving.  " Everything okay "? James asked " yeah" I said letting out a sigh. I was happy we found a pharmacy with some things that could last us for a for weeks maybe months. But we still didn't see anybody. Nobody alive , nobody still human.

" Do you think we will ever find more people "?I asked. He looked over at me " of course brook.... There's no way it's only us left in this world"  James said. Hearing that he still had hope made my hope even more stronger even though i couldn't help but to feel like it was only us.

We made it to where we set up and parked the cars. Lu began to set up the fire as it was starting to get dark outside. Julio had a pot and started holding it over the fire. I got up and moved closer to see what was inside.

I  smiled as soon as I seen the raviolis cooking inside the pot . Who would've knew I would've been this happy for raviolis. But after surviving off rabbits and squirrels for song long. It was a relief to be eating raviolis.  We were all sitting on logs eating the raviolis. Nick was done with his in five seconds. I only took a few bites out of mine before Nick asked for the rest.

After eating the food. I decided to call it a early night and went into my tent. Nick wanted to stay up from a little while longer so I let him stay with Lu  at the fire.

As I was laying down halfway asleep I began to hear my tent unzip slowly. I figured it was maybe Nick so I scooted up making sure I wasn't laying in his spot but that's when I felt something as I moved. I looked back and it was Nick in the back of me snoring.

I hurried and grab my gun from under my pillow and leaned up waiting for the tent to unzip fully.  I took my gun off safety. The tent began to open and it was  James. " James what the hell are you doing" I whispered trying not to wake Nick up but that's when I noticed James had both of his hand up then he took another step and that's when I saw a man behind him holding a gun to James head.
