Ami's POV:
I was walking to the beach after garde training so I could relax a bit.
I sat on a nearby rock and suddenly I heard footsteps on the sand, I looked back and saw Freminet, he looked like he was ready to dive and he also was holding a mechanical penguin. I decided to approach him and talk.
"Hi!, Freminet, right?" I may have talked too loudly because Freminet jumped a little when he heard my voice.
"Huh?, oh yeah, hi." I was curious about the mechanical penguin so I asked him about it.
"So... nice penguin, where'd you get it?" The penguin was being held by Freminet as I spoke.
Freminet's POV:
She wanted to know about Pers?, I was so happy. Finally someone seemed interested in Pers.
"I made it myself and I also named him Pers." By the look on Amy's face I could tell that she was very interested, so I continued talking.
"Wow that's so cool, and do you have a job related to this?" It seemed like she wanted to know more about me, but I wasn't sure about telling her that I was from the House of the Hearth but at this point almost everyone knew, I'll think about it later.
"I work at Hotel Bouffes d'ete, and you?"
"Oh well, I'm currently training to become a garde, and maybe become a member of Fontaine's secret police. I also like to paint." She seemed really hard working.
"That's nice, I also dive. I like it down there." Unfortunately for me I was running out of talking topics.
"Well, I also heard that you are from the House of the Hearth, right?" Oh archons.
"Y-yeah." I suddenly felt nervous, was she going to judge me and say that I'm a horrible person?, I can only hope she doesn't.
"Don't be scared, I'm not going to judge you, instead I want to ask you to be my friend." She switched to a softer tone and smiled softly when she said that, but, why would she want to be my friend?
"I'll take that as a no..." she looked away for a moment before turning to look back at me again, I stayed silent. "Well I guess I'll get going. See you around, Freminet."
And with that she walked away, I really wanted her to stay but I didn't know why. At the end I spent the rest of the day diving before going back home.
