I was sitting inside of Fez's truck, scrolling through the multiple social media apps that I had. "Are you gonna sit there all fucking day or are you gonna help?" Ashtray asked me, making me look up at him. "Well, I was just waiting here for a few minutes." I shrugged, slipping her phone into my pants pocket.
"Either help us or get the fuck out." he said, his usual glare in his eyes. "Oh shut the fuck up, ash. I can still beat your little ass." I shot back,getting up from my spot and walking over to the boy. He rolled his eyes, turning so that he could finish setting up the pretzels.
Before either one of us could say anything else, Fez opened up the hatch. "Yeah. It's going to be a good night, tonight, man. Let's get this money." he told us. "Fuck yeah!" I say , clapping my hands. I've been waiting to get back on the grind, it's been so long since I've sold some shit.
Lighting the blunt that I had behind my ear, I turned around when I heard some footsteps walk up to the truck. "What yall need?" I asked who walked up fully turning around. And guess who it was, the devil herself. "We don't eat carbs." her voice alone made me look at her.
Seeing the change in expression on her face I already knew that I was the last person she was expecting to see. "You look good." my eyes scanned over her small body. I took in the cuts on the side of her pants and bra-like top showing off plenty of her skin. She is still fine as hell.
"Cassie." I said when I looked over at the blonde. "Gio." she said back to me, a fake smile rising onto my face. "Thats 40$" i say wanting the money before giving them the goods. Maddy sighs and hands me the money. I count it and give her the pretzels with the molly in it. " Be sure to give us 5 stars!" I yelled as they walked away.
"Aye imma catch up with yall later." Not waiting for a response, I walked out the back of the truck and looked for my cousin. "Hey guys...why do jules look so freaked out?" I asked as I looked at Jules who's losing her mind and rue who's nonchalant. "Jules is saying she fucked nates dad but i dont believe her." rue says and my eyes widen as i look at Jules who's still freaked out.
"Ok you know what imma prove it, lets go Gio" jules says before grabbing my arm and leading me over to the stand. "Wait jules no i- shi" i say as i try to resist but it's too late we're already here and jules got his attention. "Um sir can i have a cup of chili please" Jules says and he turns around and he looks at me angry but terrified at jules.
"Umm sure" he says, i look over to nate who's smirking and i look at nate's mom who's keeping a fair distance from her ex husband. "Here you go" cal says as he hands Jules the cup but once their hands touch he drops it since his hands are shaking so much.
We get another cup and we walk back over to rue who's freaking out as well but as i look over to see nate fuming, he has his fist ball and his face is red. I do not give a flying fuck nigga, the hell he looking at me for. I listen to them talking back and forth until rue got a text from my aunt saying her and Gia needs to go back home.
"Gio, can you help me find Gia?" she asked, looking scared while looking around. "Rue what the fuck? How the fuck you let a 13 year old girl off own her own at a fucking carnival?" I asked as I pointed in different directions. "I know Gio. It's my fault. But we should be looking for her and not argue." She responds.
I sigh looking around for the possible ways Gia would have whet. "Yo, there's some kids over there." i point out. Rue drags me over there desperately hoping that her sister is over there. When we got to the spot Surely enough Gia was here. With a group of boys at that.Twin boys. It smelled like weed. And yet I thought that she was the more responsible one.
"Gia, what the hell I've been calling you" Rue says. "Rue and Gio." Gia says in a slow monotone voice. The voice Fez uses when he's high. "Is she high?" I thought. "Are you stoned right now?" rue asked. "Nah." She answers. She is clearly lying. This aint good for any of us. Lesie is going to serve our asses on silver platters.
"We're just chillin." one of the boys said. "Yeah, that's my sister and cousin." Gia adds. "Yo, Roy." the boy said. "What's up?" the other one replied. "This is a real little sis." the first boy said." "Oh, yeah. I knew by the way she was hitting the wood." he said. "That's me." Gia chuckles. Why is she so proud of that shit?
"Alright Gia, get up. Let's go." i say already getting mad. "What do you mean let's go? You see we are having a funky good time." The first boy whose name appears to be Troy said. "That's great. Now Gia get the fuck up and let's go. I'm not playin with you." Rue says.
"Wow. What do you do? Decide to just clean up, and, like, oh, I wanna become a mom?" Troy said. Oh. these kids are fucking bold. Little do they know I will uck them up. Kid or not, anyone can catch these damn hands. "Gia get the fuck up." rue says becoming frustrated. "Yo, for real. When you become such a bitch." Troy says.
I'm about to shoot his ass in a minute. Rue turns her attention to him. "Excuse me?" she was taken aback. "Was it after you fuckin OD yeah. It's good. I know it's only weed, but you might get addicted." He continues. Alright that's it. I pull my gun from my pants and shoot it in the air.
Everyone was fucking jumps like i knew they would. Fucking pussies. "You wanna say that shit again nigga?" I asked, waving my gun around. "N-nah, it's all good." he stutters. "That's what I thought. Gia lets fucking go." I say walking away. She quickly stands up and follows us. "Your fucking scary. You know that?" rue asked as we made our way back to the carnival area.
"No, what's scary is what your mother is gonna do when she sees that Gia is high." I responded. Looking around, I see Nate drag Maddy somewhere. It looked very violent to me. "Hey yall go to my car. I have some eye drops in there for her. I'll be there in a minute." I say
It took a lot for me to hand over my keys to Rue. But my mind was stuck on Maddy so that was my least concern. I wish i didn't love her as much as i do now, because now i have to deal with the hurt.
Rue's Thoughts
Maddy didn't know what real love is. Nobody was really there for her to show her, when Gio was gone. She was just clueless on what a real relationship was. She needed someone to show her, She needed Gio to show her. But instead of saving Maddy like she always does at that moment. She was hidden in the corner recording everything that was happening between Maddy and Nate for better reasons and great opportunities.
