The now unfamiliar feeling of wind on his face welcomed Liam back to the real world. He took a deep breath, soaking it in and also trying-really-hard-not-to-cry. He looked down at the laptop in his hands.
"San FranciscoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooB-) |"
"Snk- Yeah."
From the looks of it, it was really early in the morning. Or really late at night, but it didn't really matter. To-mato tom-ato right?
"Anywaaaay what's the plan?|"
"Oh, yeah- A plan. Let me think."
Making another plan was the last thing Liam wanted to do right now, he never wanted to make another plan again, but did he really have much of a choice? He sat down against the railings of the bridge to try and think of his options.
He could call Owen? No, he had a new phone and he had lost the phone number. He could..go to the police, maybe? For what reason? To tell them that he had been brought to another dimension to complete in a gameshow? Yikes. That would get him somewhere he didn't want to be.
He could try Bryce. It would take him a while, but he couldn't think of a better option than to go hitchhiking again.
He did say he would let me in this time...
He sighed, coming to his conclusion. "We're going to Bryce. I can't think of a better option."
"Bryce? Aw yea, we're getting the band back together >:3|"
"Wh- Pff- Yeah, I guess? Anyway, we'll be hitchhiking so you'll probably be shut off for most of it. I don't want to waste the battery, I still don't have a charger and I don't have any money."
"ಠ︵ಠ|"
"Yeah, whatever, do you have a better idea?"
"Uhmmmm no but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about this one|"
"Ahuh."
Liam shut the laptop and tucked it away, standing up and beginning to walk to the end of the bridge. There weren't many cars out yet, so he supposed he could walk for a while.
Ignoring the growing sense of exhaustion, he trudged forward, sticking his thumb out just in case.
This might take a while.
(This chapter is a bit shorter than the others, a lot has been happening in my life these past few weeks so I haven't been exactly motivated to write anything. I'll try to get the next chapter out soon though! It'll hopefully be longer also :) )
