The next few days (Weeks? Time hadn't felt real in a while) were all one massive blur for Liam. He'd be in one car, then he'd walk for a little while, then he'd be in a different car. Occasionally he'd find himself in a roadside stop, for food or a quick rest or something, he didn't really remember. The blue only started to fade when while walking he noticed a familiar spot.
The lighthouse.
Liam stared up at it from behind the gate, almost not believing what he was seeing. Maybe this is a mirage...or something like that...
But then again, there was no reason not to believe it was real. So Liam decided to take his chances. He looked around, trying to remember which way Bryce's apartment most likely was. Eventually he decided to just wing it, as long as he stayed in the general area he'd find it, right? Probably. So he began his final stretch to his destination.
-
Ok, admittedly that took... a lot longer than expected. It looked liked it was late noon now and Liam was pretty sure he got here around early morning. He'd gotten all turned around, and he was pretty sure he'd run into the same pizza place at least four times, until eventually he found himself in front of a vaguely familiar building.
If it's familiar, it probably has something to do with Bryce, right? And this doesn't look like a food place so by process of elimination this is his apartment. Liam stepped inside, and found his way inside the elevator.
Once inside, he shut the doors and pressed all the floor buttons, just to give him some time to talk to Texty. He pulled out the old laptop.
"Texty which floor did Bryce live on I forgot."
"Seriously? ತ_ತ"
"Uh- Yes! Don't judge me! Sorry for not having an incredible memory, I guess??"
"Ok relax. You need to get some sleep tbh (-_-;) Apartment 130A"
"Ok thank you. And I'm fine, thank you very much."
Liam shut the laptop and suddenly realized he had gone past that floor already. Great. At the next stop he decided to just step out and go back down the stairs.
"130, 130...." Liam walked past the doors, looking for the right one. When he found it he didn't hesitate to knock, and the person on the other side didn't hesitate to unlock the door and open it.
Before Liam could process what was happening, he was being hugged.
"Oh my god- Two weeks?? Was that how long it took you to get here last time???"
Liam froze for a moment, before snickering. "..Good to see you too Bryce."
"Hell yeah it is."
He hugged back, letting himself relax for the first time in, apparently, two weeks. Probably longer than that, considering his time in Airy's universe, trying to stop One before that, being on One- Ok not the point. The point is he finally let himself relax, and that's when he realized how tired he was. So tired in fact, that he passed out right there.
What an entrance.
(A bit of a short chapter BUT I'M BACK!!!! HIIIIII!!!!!!)
