~CHAPTER ONE~

-MAXTON ROVER-

Fucking someone while working at deadline project seems cool but when you came but project lying there incomplete. I zipped my pants up and let a long sigh. Damn, my project thrown away, him standing in front me wearing nothing but a boxer. My phone dinged indicating my boss requesting me to send those pending mails which I have to submits few hours ago instead started having sex with my boyfriend. Best Employee Award goes to Maxton Rover was in dreams and I believe it will stay in my dream itself. I groaned with the phone screen opened on my hand and other hand picking the discarded clothes. Lord can't this man give me one day off (deadline flew away hours ago and you're complaining about him calling you) I want food.

"BEA is taken away from you Max." I heard Toby say from kitchen counter while wearing my t-shirt. He knew this all happened because of him, if he didn't pack and knock on my door then I could have submitted the damn paper works but did he allow me when he reached here? No, not even one second. Toby poured himself almond milk, aka the vegan boyfriend and he is trying to make me vegan to, but I objected them. I can't live without egg, cheese and most important milk which is from cow not nuts or beans. "How long are you planning to stay here Toby?" His brow raised and thought I want him out forever. Drama Boy award goes to Tody Allen.

"Okay fine, surprise that I am staying here till your birthday hits Max." I choked on nothing but air and dropped my phone to the couch. My birthday which is in four days. God, I am 26 in four days and Toby who is a year younger than me. "No wonder you came out of blue." I laughed and walked to him just to wrap my hands around his torso. "Love you, Toe." He snorted hearing me say his cringe nick name. Few minutes later I wore my work clothes which is just an ironed white shirt and stiff pants to impress boss or make him give me the BEA for a reason. I took my laptop, phone, wallet and the huge shoulder bag which carries all my shit and took my car keys. I drive a simple car called Toyota Altis because I am half broke. Even that car is passed to me from my elder brother who died in a flight crash. I hate to say but I am happy he died.

"Bye Max." Toby waved at me, and I reversed the car and turned around the roundabout finally exited the building to main road. I checked the rearview mirror few times because felt like someone is following me. The car turned around and parked in front of the Starbucks, told ya I am fucking hungry. I pulled the door which should be pulled which made me angry and then came to see a huge line. It's just a Tuesday morning and whole world is standing here for what purpose. After 15 minutes of wait my turn came and I saw Andie like always. "Morning Rover, took you sometime to reach today." I checked my wristwatch to see that I am late, good amount of lateness is running through me. "The same or change?" I wanted to change but no time so ordered the same boring black coffee with one gingerbread cookie. They taste good together.

"Order for Maxton." Someone yelled and I picked my coffee up and ran to my car. Damn it I forgot my cookie but that doesn't matter now. Right after I started the car my phone flashed the name in bold, 'BOSS' I gulped seeing the name and slide the call to decline and sipped my coffee while getting past the traffic. Tuesday morning is too crowdy than normal ones I have seen. Few seconds later another call came on my screen, and it was Toby ringing me. "Max sorry to ring but there is a guy here asking you for house rent." I haven't paid my rent for three months and he is asking Toby now. "Toby, could you hand him some and I can pay you later." I waited him to speak but heard nothing. At last Toby spoke, "You can't even pay your rent...I am leaving, and I have given good sum to him." The line went beep and I groaned making him sad.

I shouldn't have asked him to pay the rent and requested the landlord for extra time. My stupid ass couldn't even rethink for a second. I banged my hand on the wheel and the horn blared to my ears. I turned to see myself parked beside my office. When did I reach here? I saw the security walking towards me and knocked on the window few times. "Maxton Rover, at Flora Agencies." He nodded after reading my ID card. I drove the car to the basement parking and switched the engine off. Two things to hear from boss today, 1) Dead lining the deadline then 2) BEA list. I huffed and took my bag to lift then pressed the button to floor six. The doors opened to see all gathered around boss's cabin. What is going on here? Did he die? No, don't jinx those Maxton.

I tapped on Henry's shoulder and he turned around beaming that smile to my face. "Max, prefect time or worst time I guess..." He blabbed and I peeked to see what is happening and saw him yelling at one of the staff here and even swearing. "Henry, can't you explain in human languge." He laughed and pulled me away from the crowd. "Deadline getting deadlined Max and I hope you-" Rest of the words didn't reach my ears and I gulped hearing next scream from boss's cabin. "YOU'RE GETTING A TRANSFER." Henry clapped his hands and what all he said is flash. Boss was cheering Jerry for doing the project neat and on time. Me here on other hand still keeping it inside the drawer for later and later became a week.

"Why the fuck is he yelling?" I asked while walking back and saw Jerry, walk out with the happiest smile ever seen. Henry hugged the life out of him, and we got back to our seats. "Maxton, long time no see." I was here but he took a weeklong sick leave and even completed his work with not over time or anything. I sucked my breath when boss came around and patted Jerry's shoulder then those eyes caught standing by the corner eating cookies brought by Henry. His eyes narrowed and that means I am getting my ass busted. "Maxton Rover, be at my cabin in 10." Then he left the cube to his with a smile. "Max, don't tell me you fucked instead of work." Jerry whispered and I hit my head on the wall feeling awful. Henry laughed and started typing on his laptop. 

"Best of luck Rover." Jerry said and I mouthed him fuck off and walked out of the cube to his cabin. My hands sweaty and head feeling dizzy. Fuck, am I getting my ass busted today? I should start the talk with BEA or else he might bite my head off. I knocked the door and heard him say 'Come in'. Deep breaths or else you're busted. "Rover, you're fired." Those words hit my ears and all things I had on my mind drifted away. Fired? I am begin fired from Flora. "Boss, give me extra few days then I would-" "Save those for next company and it was worst pleasure having you as my staff." Words hit like poison, and I threw my ID card to his desk and held my tears. "Pleasure having you as my boss." I placed my laptop there and left the cabin tears filling my eyes, Jerry and Henry looking at me confused.

Maxton Rover, 25 or 26 in four days is jobless and having a huge debut lying behind me. Selling my car would bring good sum and maybe ask my father about this. Toby is pissed off for asking a small amount and don't even think about such huge from him. Only hope are my parents, car and move to a smaller house. Before that I need to find a job or what about my RD account balance maybe I have good sum in them from every month shares added in there. I typed few passcodes to my phone and saw the number lying on my RD account. 20,000 and that much won't be enough for a week from my spending. Why do I have such low number and got a find new job as soon as possible or else I am lying on road. 

First aim new job and then think about anything else.
