Hanan's POV
Alighting the plane, with ya Adil right beside me, I stretched my lips into a thin straight line, looked around then genuinely smiled. It was a sunny day, the sultry sun emitted beams of light, shining down upon the many people of different Ancestry, all engaged in various kind of activities as they roam about the terminal building.
This is the Airport of new Dalhi, India thank you for choosing us.
I heard the last sentence of one of the passengers handling Agents. with my hand entwined with that of ya Adil, Dada few feet ahead of us, and the twins walking sluggishly right behind us, we moved into the building to the baggage reclaim area, to pick up our checked bags
After the necessities and all, we were then back to the Airport terminal. Dada made a phone call, and shortly after a tall guy appeared with a gently smile on his lips, he seems to be about the same age with Hameed, and some thing about his calm and collective nature somehow made him look like Hameed, there is no physical resemblance but the way he acts and talks somewhat drew the likeness. We greeted each other politely, while he shook hands with the guys. After, we were then guided to where he parked his car. We drove in utter silence for about twenty five minutes, before arriving at our destination.
He parked the car in front of a huge mansion, which from a single glance could easily took your breath away. the rock walls stood right were they where, as if perchance they had grown up right from that hallowed ground.
The expansive mansion was a stunning sight to behold, with it towering columns and numerous balconies overlooking the rolling hills, not to talk about the grand entrance with sweeping stair case, high ceilings and intricating details that gives a sense of majesty and splendor that was fit for Royalty.
As we moved towards the entrance I noticed a circle shaped dinner table and chairs made of stone outside in the garden, Along with the deep green grass underneath it and trees around it. It looks absolutely spectacular paired with the waterfall behind it.
Stepping forward, we moved into the building, only to be welcomed by the grand parlor that could easily fit at least 150 people without any sort of discomfort. Ornate furnitures and an elegant chandelier exuded an air of sophistication that left visitors in awe, it windows where as shy eyes, large to welcome any ray of sun, the mansion had so many rooms that it felt like a maze, not to mention the elegance that adorned the venerable place, everything about it speaks Royalty, majesty and luxury.
A beautifully fair looking woman who could be in her mid 40's appeared, decently dressed in a white and silver colored sari, small of her hair was showing as she has a small piece of white clothes wrapped securely around her head. She has all sort of light weight, silver colored jewelries on her, making her looked lovely and unblemished
"Na-ma-stey Abbakar Bhaiii" her lips held a simple yet charming smile as she greeted Dada, standing before us with her palms together in front of her chest, as she bowed slightly.
"namaste Haseena, hope we meet you well" dada greeted back "we thank God, you're all welcome please c'mon in" from the frequent amount of time I have watched Indian movies I could tell she was Hindi, her accent said it all so did her looks, I liked the way she looked composed and care free
We were ushered in by her and made ourselves comfortable on the couches "please make yourselves at home, he would be down in a while" by he, she must meant her husband, Dada's immediate younger brother, they are paternally related, only sharing the same Father, but different mother for each. while Dada's biological mother was Nigerian, his was indian and after Dada's father passed away, she took her only child and came back to her origin, and here he laid his life with even an Amazing family of six.
At first it was a comfortable silence, no word were passing through, untill anty Haseena finally decided to broke the silence "Abbakar Bhaiii, I'm seeing new faces, Who's this beautiful young lady right here, I liked her already" the question made me unguard, but still couldn't stop the blush that crept onto my face, she smiled down at me getting a hold of my hand, with my head hung low a silent smile made it way to my lips "that's Hameed's wife" dada answered, "ya Rab ya Rab, how can I be so forgetful, Hanan right, she's so pretty and nice looking" isn't she exaggerating, I'm flushed red.
"Hanan beti" she used her fingers to held up my chin, so that I'm looking up at her, her eyes curiously gotten into slit for a split second, her gaze then dashed to where dada and ya Adil were sitting "they must be blood related" she asked referring to me and ya Adil "they are, Adil say hi" dada nudged him "namaste aunt" he greeted vibrantly showing his thirty two "awwn I think I have got another son, Na-ma-stey" she smiled "I'm glad to be welcomed into the family" ya Adil voiced out with a laugh, and they burst into fit of laughter.
the chatting continues, lightly from time to time, and a while later an elderly version of the person that got us from the airport descend the stair case, they looked so much alike, that the only difference was the age, you could even think that they were twins if not for the age, attention all went to him as he made his way to Dada who was busy typing away on his phone "namaskar bayyah Ayye Ayye" looking away from his phone dada stood onto his feet with a big friendly smile and they engulfed themselves in a simple brotherly hug. The hug lasted for minutes before they broke apart, and together they got down on the couch The air around them vivid. from the way they talked, you could tell that they are very close and share a strong bond, it was amazing how they chatted and talked freely with each other happily, it just amazed me and made me missed my Dad more.
Finally after pleasantries and every thing Aunty Haseena said we should go and freshen up, Dada went upstairs together with his brother, the twins went their separate way and ya Adil, well aunty Haseena asked one of the maids to take him to sameer's room her eldest son, the one that got us from the airport "Hameed might be asleep let go to my room for now" she said at last walking ahead,
I heaved a silent sigh pushing away the uneasiness I had been feeling, I couldn't be more satisfied, in a place like this, I wouldn't want to be with Hameed, standing to my feet a took a hold of my hand bag and phone, but that nagging feeling was still there, composing myself I rose my eyes only for them to befall upon a tall figure resting against the door of a corridor with arms around the chest, eyes fiercely gazing at me and face void of any emotions, he was dressed in a black three quarter trousers and a black tee, eyes large and a little shade of red from sleep, his hair has grown, ruffled and curled that it falls to his forehead and just like that he looked breath taking.
I missed him
Do I missed him, I never knew I do, untill I saw him, I sincerely missed him, with him staring at me like that I could stand here for the whole day, for all I care, but then, just as I was about to leave, he moved from where he was pocketing his hands in the process he started walking to where I was and so I stood still my legs getting numb as I stared back at him.
