Rayteen and I were already waiting in the escape pod, I was nervously looking at the rest of the team and to my surprise we were very much hoping to see Chase too

*SHUDERS*

Rayteen : the base seems to be unstable by the minute, we need to disappear as soon as possible

Mochi : we won't leave without a team, according to the plan they still have 3 minutes

Rayteen just grunted and looked at the screen that showed the module's status, we turned back to the hallway where the rest of the team would be coming from

Mochi : come on guys hurry up

= Chase PoV =

the stupid thing was very pissed off, it got to the point where it started twisting my leg, so we tried to turn my whole body so that it wouldn't break my leg, but due to the pressure and fear, so that the railing wouldn't slip out of my hand, we didn't turn fast enough

*SNAP*

Chase : AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

??? : AAUUGH

the monster seemed to laugh at it's success it bounced back and tried to reach for my helmet once it ripped it off I was done for I tried to kick the thing with my only good leg but the thing didn't seem to care I ended up grabbing an empty one rifle and threw it at the thing

*THUD*

luckily for me the rifle bounced off the thing's head but as soon as the thing tilted its head it lost its stability and was starting to get pulled out

??? : AGAAAA

i kicked the thing's arm one last time and it finally let me go, the monster then disappeared through the gap outside, with all my remaining strength i crawled up the railing into the stable corridor, i crawled through before finding the security overpressure door and with a few commands and goofing on the display I closed the emergency pressure door in the middle of the corridor, the pressure stopped, we then tried to get back on my feet using the railing but I fell again, the pain was excruciating

intercom : warning, the overall stability of the base has been compromised, initiate protocol C-23-A and make an orderly exit to the escape pod

Chase : simply beautiful

so I decided to limp, the movement was slow but at least some, but as soon as I was a little further from the security door I heard a terrible pounding

*bang*baNG*BANG*

when i turned i saw dents on the security door, more motivation to move faster

there wasn't even a minute left and the rest of the team was still nowhere to be found

Rayteen : Mochi, I don't mean to be mean, but time is no longer the luxury we used to have

a wave of stress washed over me but luckily Savvy appeared around the corner of the far corridor, took off his helmet and ran towards us

Mochi: Savvy? where is allison and chase?

Savvy just pushed me back into the escape pod

Savvy : they are both dead, Rayteen do start the departure protocol immediately
