Chapter 12. The Truce

There was a dreadful silence over the area. Everybody was silent in their own places processing the current emotions and the situation.

Naruto took the charge to break the silence. "All of you present here are the finest Ninjas of your respective villages.. I promise if you join us without fuss and help us promote our ideologies, We won't harm any battalion here. Our men are merciful you know". He pointed out to the large group of uniformed men ready to attack behind the armies of Leaf and Sand.

Shikamaru went up to Naruto and tried to make peace. "Naruto, back in the village everyone is anxious about you Lady Tsunade puts a lot of faith in you and wants you back well and good."

"You speak of the village and the hokage?" Naruto chuckled "Grandma Tsunade is the one who is partially responsible for us to be here". Naruto said.

"What are you talking about?? you don't make any sense" Shikamaru questioned.

"Well it'll make sense when you people see things clearly with our eyes.. eyes of pure love". Naruto professed as some saintly figure.

Fu suddenly lost her calm and got up.

"Enough already".. she stepped towards Naruto " you both seem to be absolutely brainless creatures ...you think you'll threaten us and we will give in".. she turned towards Gaara and exclaimed "This is a friend you were so worried for? Well, he's definitely not worth our time.. let's go back, Gaara".

"I think you mistook what we just said.. whatever your name is miss.. ".. Sasuke chipped in again. "Naruto just mentioned to all of you that we led you here.. Do you understand what a trap means"

Fu was about to attack him with words when Gaara interrupted her and held her back. "Fu, it's fine, we will deal with it. Have patience".

"Fu?".. Sasuke repeated. " Are you Fu of the hidden waterfall? The jinchuriki of 7 tails?"

"Yes I am" Fu confirmed.

Sasuke leaned towards Naruto and alerted him in a whispering voice. "She's much more of an asset than Guren, Naruto.. what do you think? Shall we take her?".

"I am of the similar opinion Sasuke.. our
work will be reduced greatly with her".Naruto agreed.

Everybody was keen on understanding what they were up to.

Gaara accepted the fate and declared "Naruto we will go back without any harm, as I said I don't intend to fight you, ask your men to move back, no body will lay a finger on you, and we will never come back ..I promise".

Naruto chuckled "That's impossible.. you want us to leave all of these potent Ninjas just like that .. after so many efforts we put in to lay the trap ahh?"

"Then what do you want??" Gaara expressed angrily and helplessly. He felt he failed miserably and on top of that put his battalion at stake.

"Send Fu inside" Sasuke declared "That's what we want"..

"Impossible" Gaara declined with increasing agitation. His eyes startled and fearful.

"Well prisoners don't have much of a choice you know.. Naruto, your friend doesn't grasp that quick" Sasuke made a remark. "Your men are at stake Kazekage, accept our demands if you want to save your precious people". Sasuke declared in a victorious tone.

"I already made myself clear She won't come.." Gaara started and was interrupted.

"I will come" Fu stepped forward and took charge.

Gaara was astonished and looked at Fu standing besides him. His eyes were filled with a lot of questions and concerns.

"Fu NO.. Don't..  You don't have to do this" Gaara pleaded. " I will fight for my people, don't go please".

As they were conversing, one sand Ninja from the battalion shouted from within the bushes. His costume was visible and the sword of a blue man intact around his neck.

"We are ready to die, Lord kazekage, we will fight them, Don't let lady Fu fall into the hands of the enemy".. other battalion men screamed in agreement.

"Easy everyone, you don't have to worry so much about me, they are not as much gonna be able to put a scratch on me I bet.. I'll go if that's what it takes to save our people". Fu persisted.

"Let's go then" Sasuke smirked.

Gaara went for Naruto. "Naruto...." Gaara started hopefully if he differs in his opinion but in vain..

"U heard Sasuke that's the end of the discussion, Fu is coming with us".

Sasuke turned to enter the tower followed by Fu.

Gaara held Fu's hand and took meek steps behind her " Fu we are here alright, you just call out if anything happens..if you need any kind of help you....." Gaara panicked and was stopped by Naruto who held his shoulder.  He got in between them and Gaara's clutch of Fu's hand was lost.

Sasuke and Fu vanished Inside the tower.

Hinata was seen with Guren outside the tower gates. She got Guren along with her on Naruto's demand.

"Guren, it's upto you make sure nobody dares enter the gates. The crystal style is accessible here. You have your powers back. And confisticate everyone's cell phones. They shouldn't be able to call for reinforcements by any means." Naruto ordered.

Naruto eyed Gaara tapped his shoulder and he too retreated back inside.

"Lady Hinata, why are you doing this, you lured us into this trap?" Neji turned to her at the first chance he got.

"No one asked you all to follow me here" She ignored him in a dull voice, sitting at the corner of the entrance.

"Guren, what has happened to you, why help someone who's so wrong".Shikamaru demanded of her.

They knew Guren as a long distance friend.

"I know they are flawed but I am left with no choice, they have Yukimaru and Hito (her bf). Please co-operate I don't want to harm anyone of you. Please " Guren exclaimed.
