The girls were at Gwen’s house eating ice cream and watching chick flicks.
The breakup count for today was now at four.
Claire sat crying in the corner as Aubrey rubbed her back.
“He texted me? He freaking texted me that he thinks we should ‘part ways’ that ‘our paths were meant to cross but not join’ this is what I get for dating a freaking writer!” Aubrey just shushed her and gave her a new bowl of ice cream.
“I want to kill him!” Carley said pacing while shoveling the rainbow sherbet into her mouth barely making any sense at all.
“I hate men, let’s just become cat ladies okay?” Natalia was upside down standing on her head balanced against the wall. Somehow yoga was a top search result on google for ‘how to get over a cheating boyfriend who you never really loved’
A small ding was heard from the other side of the room as Gwen sighed.
“Someone pass me my phone?” Carley went over and grabbed it, and then she threw it at Gwen who fumbled with it a few times in her hands before gaining composure.

She opened the app and saw it was an invite to an event.
“You have been invited to ‘One Direction’s first live gig’ at Z’s Record shop.”She read aloud.
“Who on earth is One Direction?” Aubrey asked still patting the sobbing Claire on the back. “Honestly I have no idea, didn’t even know we were having an event at the shop.” Natalia said coming down from the headstand with her face red from the blood rushing back. Even Carley stopped pacing long enough to process the news. “Wait were we invited too?” Gwen scrolled through the invited people.
“Yeah in fact the whole school is.” Natalia snatched the phone from her and scrolled further. “Quite a few people from my classes at Uni too.”
“Hey maybe this will be good for us you know!” Claire said standing up suddenly happy “We can get dressed up and look pretty and get over our scumbag’s of boyfriends, minus Gwen of course.”
