It's bad news...

Hayes-

Why do some of my fans have to be so cruel? Emma didn't even do anything to that Sarah girl and now she's laying in a hospital bed with a bruised rib.

As soon as she blacked out, I freaked and called 911. When the ambulance got here, they picked her up and put her on a gurney. I noticed something weird about Emma's left leg, it looked lifeless compared to her right leg. I hope it's nothing serious though.

As I was waiting for the doctor to call me back so I could see her, Liese, Julia, and Lexi all showed up (with Shawn, Trevor, and Matt of course). I called Shawn earlier to tell him I was at the hospital with Emma and so I guess he told the others and so they all came.

We were talking about random stuff while waiting on the doctor. We were in the middle of talking about food when the doctor comes out.

"Family and/or friends of Emma Gilinsky?" We all stood up. The doctor came over to us and had an unreadable expression on his face.

"As you may know all ready, Emma has a bruised rib. Well when we were looking back at the CAT scan, something looked odd leading down to Emma's left leg. We took a closer look and found out that her left leg is completely paralyzed. If we start intense physical therapy, her leg can get back to normal, but for now she will have to use crutches. She is awake now and I have given her the news, would anyone like to go see her?" I immediately stepped forward. The doctor lead me back to Emma's room and left so we could have some privacy.

She had her head propped up on a pillow and was taking small sips of what looked like water, out of a straw. I smiled at her and she gave a weak smile back.

"How are you feeling?" I ask.

"Like a vegetable. Hayes, I can't move my left leg at all and I can barely sit up without wanting to scream in pain." I saw a tear escape from the corner of her eye.

I wiped the tear away and took her hand in mine. I kissed her hand and rubbed my thumb along her hand. All I could think about was how all of this is my fault. If we wouldn't just taken a cab or something,nothing would've happened. I didn't realize I was crying until Emma wipes the tears away. I look up at her and I completely lose it.

"I'm sorry Emma." That's all I said and then I got up and walked out. As I turned to close the door,Emma was crying. I hurt her. I know I did. I'm so stupid. What have I done?

Liese-

Hayes came back from Emma's room sooner than expected. He was crying his eyes out and didn't even really care. Shawn tried to step in front of him to talk to him,but Hayes just shoved him out of the way and continued walking.

While everyone chased after Hayes,I took advantage of the time and went to see Emma.

I walked in and she was also crying a lot. I rushed over to her and gave her a light hug. I pulled away and she explained to me what happened.

"So he just got up and left??" I asked. Emma just shook her head and fumbled with her hands.

"Well listen. As soon as we get you out of this hospital,we're going out for a girl's day. Just me and you." Her face lit up. She smiled so big,I thought she was going to tear her lips open.

"LIESE. LIESE. LIESE,WHERE ARE YOU?? LIESE." I heard Shawn running up and down the hallway screaming my name.

I ran into the hallway,closing the door behind me, and caught Shawn. He couldn't stop crying. He looked at Emma's room and lead me far away from it.

We sat down and I waited until he calmed down a little and asked him what happened. He was about to say something,when I see a bunch of people rushing through the doors with a person on a gurny. I recogonize who it was immediately. It was Hayes and he had blood all over his body. That's when it hit me. Hayes tried to commit suicide.

Finally, after about 8 hours,the doctor comes out. He has blood all over his clothes and has a defeated look on his face.

In the eight hours of waiting everyone showed up. His parents,family,friends,everyone.

"Friends and family of Benjamin Hayes Grier." We all stood up.

"After eight long hours of doing absolutely everything we could to save him,we have some news and I'm afraid it's bad news. Hayes was a fighter and he tried so hard to stay strong. Unfortunately,Hayes did not make it through the surgery. He suffered severe trauma to the brain and the impact of the car busted his heart which in turn made his heart stop working. I am so sorry to tell you that Hayes has passed away."

Nash-

I stood there in that waiting room listening to the news. I couldnt process that my little brother was actually gone. He wasn't going to come home with me. I can't see him grow up anymore. I can't watch him get married. Emma. Did she hear the news? If so,how is she holding up.

My mom hugged me tighter than she ever had and cried into my chest. I hugged her back and started crying. Once I started,I couldn't stop. He's gone. He's actually gone.

I just stood there thinking about all of the vines,YouTube videos,everything. All the memories we had made and how I'm not going to be able to make anymore with him. Wow.

Sky-

I didn't really understand what the doctor was saying,but then my daddy picked me up and explained that bubby was on his way to heaven right now and that I'm not going to see him for a while. Daddy helped me understand that bubby is dead. I love Hayes. I didn't even get to say goodbye or tell him I love him one last time. I already miss bubby. I started crying into daddy's shoulder because now Hayes wouldn't be able to dance with me at my wedding or protect me from boys or give me piggy back rides. I'm really going to miss Hayes..
