(Y/n)
I barge into the main room in the palace. Chen was relaxing on a lounge chair while his servants fanned him.
"Leave us." He orders them, and they immediately make themselves scarce.
"When were you going to tell me that you're planning on stealing all of their Elemental powers?" I ask as I cross my arms. Chen sits up in his chair. His staff still in hand.
"Don't tell me you actually care about them?" Chen scoffs and gets up from his chair.
"I don't care. I want to know what you're planning on doing with their powers, and why you didn't tell me?" I ask in a stern voice.
"Hmm." Chen squints his eyes as he circles me. Studying me. He almost seems...
Impressed?
"What?" I glare at him.
"If I didn't know any better, which I do," Chen smiles mischievously. "You want a taste of the power." Chen stops and looks at his staff. I stare at it for a moment and watch as it changes different colors. Probably, the powers he stole from the other Elemental Masters.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Just tell me what you're planning." I demand.
"All will soon be revealed in time." He replies, picking off invisible lint from his clothes.
"Though, I have to thank you. I now know it was the ninja at the ceremony." Chen relaxes back into his chair.
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm about to make this Tournament more interesting..." His smile widens.

I stare at the bracket board. I don't have to fight today. I saw some other Elemental masters, I didn't know, who had to fight. My eyes land on Skyler's picture. She has to fight today. I should go cheer her on. I walk into the cafeteria to see it mostly vacant.
Where did everyone go?
I watch Kai rush into the room but he suddenly stops. He slowly looks around the room. He's probably wondering the same thing as me.
His eyes stop once they land on me. "Oh, (Y/n)." He says recognizing me. Kai walks over to me. "Do you know where everyone is?" He asks.
"I have no idea. I just walked in moments before you." I reply. I knew I shouldn't have slept in. Yesterday was a stressful day. I was so tired from my match that I slept like a rock.
"I watched your match yesterday. You did really good. I was honestly worried when Tox's poison got to you." Kai says.
"Me too. It's a good thing the effects don't last long." I reply.
"Though, I am curious. Why didn't you use your powers?" He asks. I avoid his stare, finding the floor to be more interesting.
How am I supposed to answer that?
"I—"
We heard cheering coming from the distance. "Have they started the matches already?" I ask quickly.
