Days pass and the ICT is back to the practice ground for their upcoming matches. Rahul was in the nets practicing while Shami was balling.
Soon it was 4 in the afternoon and they all were sitting on the ground some of them probably half asleep.
Suddenly our Surya Bhai thought it would be fun to tease the juniors a little. " So Rahul do you have someone special??" This question not only grabbed the attention of Rahul but Hardik as well. Mahi bhai noticed it as nothing goes unnoticed by the skipper and smirked. " Yes Rahul there gotta be someone?" added Mahi. Rahul was red by now because all the attention was on him. Hardik on the other hand was observing him attentively. " Kya bhaiya app bhi , koi nhi hai.." " Are brother no there is no one.."
Hardik was somehow happy to know that his Rahul had nobody in his mind but somewhere he wanted Rah to take his name. ( A/n: are you stupid Hardik?)
" Bhai Tera rasta Khali hai , mai to bolta hu zadya deri mat kar.." " Bro it's a easy path for you go for it.."
Hardik glared at the speaker who was none other than Rohit.
"By the way Virat you and AB have become good friends I see.." Said Mahi bhai. This grabbed Rohit's attention who looked at Vi , " Yes Cap woh bohot aache hai , even though he is my senior, he has become my bestfriend." Said Vi grinning like a child. Everyone laughed at this cute expression of Vi but someone was not so happy. Rohit was bubbling with jealousy. He has also noticed the recent growing friendship between them.
" Looks like something is burning" whispered Hardik in a teasing tone.
Soon everyone went back to their rooms to rest. Hardik decided to take Rahul on a date. He was a little scared at first but he knew he had to take the initiative. (men in love 🥰)
According to his observations it was clear Rah loved ice cream so decided to take him on a small ice cream date.
"Hey Rah you praticed really well today I am proud of you.."Rahul showed a bright smile which melted Hardik's heart.
They both went to the ice cream parlour which was really cute and cozy. Hardik ordered two chocolate ice creams .
While Rah was enjoying his ice cream , the other man was enjoying something else. He loved the view in front of him. If he could he would have replayed this moment again and again.
" There is some on your lips ." Said Hardik as he subconsciously touched Rah's lower lip and wiped the ice cream off. Seeing this sudden action Rah was flushed.
He couldn't deny the fact that some new feelings were growing inside him.
Love is a very complicated emotion. You never know when you will discover it. Its a misconception to think we can control love. Its just a rush of feeling which will take place on its own. The same was happening with our Rahul.
Hardik's caring nature made it more difficult to push him away. He wanted this to last forever. Them playing cricket, enjoying their moment so on....
"I think I love him.." this line repeated in this head constantly reminding that Hardik was not his. There is probably someone who is Hardik's better half. . . . . . "Am I even loveable ? Am I good enough.. Probably bhaiya was right.. I am not the one for Hardik.. he will never choose me once he gets to know about my past... I want to forget them..." . . . . . . . . . . . . " Let's go for a walk.." Rah's chain of distressing thoughts were broken with Hardik's proposal. His heart eased watching the smile of Hardik. But somehow there was an inner turmoil inside Rahul which was because he was unaware of the fact that Hardik's heart only beats for him.
After coming back from their small date Hardik was standing on the terrace enjoying the fresh evening breeze when his phone started ringing....
