You Promised Me (PLATONIC Aether and Scaramouche)

Mistakes Happen

Aether, a young adult who strolled through Teyvat by himself. He currently was singing a song walking near a snowy mountain as his boots crush the snow.

He stops his soothing voice from singing...An orange light in his face was from a fire. A boy in white and light purple was on his knees crying as his arms cover his face. A transparent purple veil was covering him from behind.

Hearing someone come closer, the boy with dark purplish hair looks behind him while tears come down from his eyes being the same color. Aether stands there in place, his hand turning into a fist against his chest. The boy in his sight swallows the pain in his throat, covering his eyes from his arm as he sobs.

The wooden cabin on fire falls apart and the fire spreads a little too close to the boy. Aether picks him up and walks away from the scene. The boy lifts his face from Aether's shoulder, looking at the fire taking over the abandoned cabin. His eyes were in fury as he clings onto the fabric of Aether's shoulder.

Four boys was jumping on roof to roof in broad daylight in Fontaine. Aether, Kunikuzushi, Nagi, and Aozora. Some of them would slip and cause some pieces of roofs to fall off and create loud noises, but Aether was the best at it not surprisingly.

"We're almost there." Aether announced. Aether pushes himself up to the top of the building where he can walk. "Kunikuzushi, come take a look." He said. Kunikuzushi stands beside him, amazed by the view. "Woah." "It's nice to get above it all, huh?" He asked.

Getting a nice view of the city, Fontaine can be seen with many shades of blue and gold, while their houses be white or cream. A few people was high in the sky gliding over him and Kunikuzushi, laughing together as they enjoy the cool breeze. "One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things." Kunikuzushi said with confidence.

Nagi stands by Aether, imagining his hand as a gun. "And one day, I'm gonna shoot one of them down." Aether moves his hand aside as everyone follows him on more roofs. "Aether, are you sure about this?" Aozora asked. "If we get caught—" "We're not gonna get caught." Aether interrupted. "We'll be in and out as soon as possible."

Aether looks at the other roof's building across from him. "Alright, everyone, follow me. Just Don't look down." He warned. Aether slides down the roof and holds onto another. Landing slowly on some black railings, he holds onto them as he jumps to the other side and lands on the roof with ease.

Aozora was about to have his turn, but Nagi makes him step aside. He copies Aether's movements, and didn't really struggle to get there. Though Aozora out of nowhere, jumped next to him stuffing a cupcake in his mouth. "Couldn't we atleast just...walked there?" He asked. "Gotta stay out of sight for this one." Aether replied.

Kunikuzushi was frozen and couldn't help but look at how far down the ground was. "Called it. This is on you, Aether." Nagi said. Aozora sighs, "I'll go get him—" "No. Kunikuzushi, look at me." Kunikuzushi obeys. He looks at Aether's golden eyes instead of the ground from afar. "What did I tell you?" He questioned. "That...I'm ready." He answered.

"That's right. So..." Kunikuzushi close his eyes, taking a deep breath. Sliding down the roof and clinging on the other one right beside him, he definitely was a lot more sloppy then the other three. He holds on the railings with one hand, jumping to where they were. But he almost falls when landing. Aether grabs his hand as Kunikuzushi looks at him. "Thanks."

As Aether pulls him up and keeps him balanced, Nagi rolls his eyes before they continue heading to their destination. Aozora was getting more worried about the thought of getting caught. "We're gonna get in so much trouble if Diluc finds out." Aether stops walking to look at Aozora. "That's only if we mess up. So, don't mess up. Now do you wanna help me out or not?"
