Not too long ago, Akademiya students had a summer break for a few months. Most students spent their time swimming around in pools or private lakes and laugh all together. Alhaitham was the only one still in his uniform, sitting close to the water while reading a book.

He looks up at the small hill not too far from him. A blonde girl was staring down at Alhaitham with big green eyes. Alhaitham tilts his head in confusion, just why is she staring at him and for how long? "Lizzy!" A female student called for her. The blonde girl as Lizzy took a peak behind her back seeing her friends waving.

She smiles at Alhaitham before climbing her way back to her friends at the other side.

Alhaitham sits down with a cane beside him as he watches the sunset slowly turn into the night. He heard fast baby steps coming his way. And as expected, it was Sigewinne. "Good to see some thing's haven't changed. Seems just yesterday that I stumbled upon an aspiring scholar in the undercity here, ruminating in his steel oasis." Sigewinne stated.

She starts to frown as she gazes at Alhaitham. "I heard of your condition because of that thing you used. I'm terribly sorry, Alhaitham." Alhaitham leans forward a little, his crossed arms kept his forearms close to his stomach. "Do you contemplate death, doctor?" "Only that of friends." She answered softly.

"I suppose your legacy has been once secured. As one of Fontaine's best doctors, what haven't you showed for your remarkable life?" The light in his eyes have dimmed as he asked. "You should be proud over what you've accomplished, Alhaitham." Sigewinne nudges his shoulder with her elbow.

"Figments. My contributions would be short lived...even in your memory." Alhaitham smiled slightly, but it instantly disputed when he looked away.

Lisa was quietly painting on a huge canvas for about thirty minutes. She was putting a fresh coat of red paint on the parts that weren't red enough and had faded after drying. "I didn't know you were an artist." Kaveh ends the silence with his words. "Hmph, there's quite a lot about me you don't know." Lisa said.

Kaveh rubs his neck. "Listen, I'm sorry for disappearing last night." Lisa swiped her paint scraper with a bit of force to it. "Duty calls." She says as Kaveh sits down on the floor. He clenched the fabric of his uniform as he close his eyes. "Alhaitham's dying." Lisa froze.

She puts her plate of paint away, on her way to sit next to Kaveh. "I think it has something to do with something back in Sumeru. Exactly the sort of thing we wanted to fix with Galaxtic. Improving lives, solving issues, not just...trade disputes." Kaveh vents with his fingers holding the bridge of his nose.

Both of his hands hang from his forearms on his knees. "Alhaitham saved my life once, now he needs me...and there's nothing I can do. I-I hate feeling so useless." Kaveh let's out a shaky huff of air. "I didn't realize he was so close." Lisa says calmly.

"He's such an amazing friend..." Kaveh's lips tremble. He lifts his legs sideways for his head to lay down on her lap. "Why did you come to me about this?" She asked. "I just...nothing feels impossible when I'm with you." He replied as he holds her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm an exile from my family." Lisa confessed. "What? Why?" Kaveh looks at her from below. "I fell short of Minchi standards." "I don't believe that for a second." Kaveh smiled. "Do you?" Lisa looks at him, he patiently wait for a response. She opens her mouth but nothing came out.
