[HUZZAH. THE FIRST CHAPTER! :D]

[I'm super excited to get this book up and going quicker when I'm done with my other one.]

[This chapter, and book in general, will include an OC[s] of @Silver_star from her Amphibia OC insert book 'Powers Price', aswell as that AU. Credits to Silver for that! Check out her works. She's an amazing writer.]

[Now, let's begin!]

The silence was broken by the sharp noise of a flash aswell as a flicker of light. A wolvine teenage girl slipped out of the portal, gaining her footing on the seemingly floorless void. Her ears angled to the sides a bit. The meeting area never ceases to amaze her, despite how many times she's been there.

The meeting area was a void, their surroundings littered with the glowing dots of stars. Purple was sprawled across the darkness like smoke from a fire, a dark blue in tow with speckles of pink. There was an area in the middle, somesort of light-ish blue symbol glowing underneath with three, large glowing orbs above it. Stars.

The teenager hummed to herself. Was she really the first one? That's...unusual. Her ears pinned back. She walked over to one of the stars and scrambled atop of it, sitting cross-legged as she adjusted her dress skirt, laying her tail over her lap as she patiently awaited for the other Timekeepers to arrive.

She didn't need to wait long before there was another flash of a portal. A woman walked out, taking a seat on the star closest to her with much more elegance, also cross-legged.

The woman had a slim frame with dark-ish blue skin, fading into a purple at her hands, shins, and tips of her pointed ears. Her skin was speckled with white, glowing dots. She has pure white eyes that glow lightly, curved horns situated a little above as there was a third eye between. She rested her lower set of arms in her lap, her top set of hands placed on her knees. Her thin tail flicked back and forth before finally nestling down and curling along the curve of the star to her left.

"Astresk." The teen dipped her head in welcome. "Glad to see you in good health."

"I can say the same for you, Phoenix." Astresk nodded in return.

A few moments later there was another flash and a man slipped out of a dark blue portal, simply taking his seat on the last star, only giving a nod to the two females as a greeting.

The man had unruly black hair, hoisted up into a high ponytail. His right eye was an oceanic blue, the other being a blue-tinted white with a black scar etched across the left side of his face. He sported a staff on his back with a black, curved horn coming from the left side of his forehead. Black markings laced both of his arms.

"Tomiokaaa~ you're last for the first time since- ever. What was with the holdup?" Phoenix inquired, propping her elbow on her knee and resting her head on her hand. A teasing undertone had tied itself with her question.

"She's got a point, Giyuu. Anything going wrong?" Astresk added on, her tone more serious.

"Nothing major." Giyuu replied, as cold as ever. "Just minor complications. Nothing of your concern."

He received a nod of understanding.

"So!" Phoenix lifted her head, putting her hands on her ankles as she straightened herself, stretching her back a little. "What's with the sudden meeting?"

"I've discovered somebody else who is capable of assisting us. I'm not all too good at the dimension-hopping stuff, but I managed to acquire an image of her and some information." Astresk replied, her voice steady and smooth. She put out her hand, a small orb forming. She tossed it into the middle of the circle, the orb shattering and something of hologram-thing forming from the mist that emitted from the broken sphere.

It swirled around before settling, shifting colors and shapes to beckon an image. It was of a young teenage girl with bruenette hair cut into an unruly wolfcut. Her eyes were a bright teal-turquoise colour, leaning more towards an emerald green.

"A teenager?" Giyuu tipped his head, his expression almost a scowl. "What use will a teenager be?"

"Wow, rude." Phoenix folded her arms, her ear twitching in annoyance, offended.

"Her name is Valerie Williams." Astresk continued, paying the swordsman's comment no mind. "She's a human teenager, around fourteen. I don't know where exactly she is, but she has a similar universe to Phoenix's."

Phoenix's ears pricked. The goddess went on.

"She has the Power Calamity. Well, a different version. This one is quite a bit more powerful, and is strung along with somesort of eldritch or Ancient being named 'Gold'. Gold is who we need, but she's connected to Valerie's mindscape. Therefore, to get to Gold, we need to get to Valerie."

"Then I'm probably our best bet, huh?" Phoenix tilted her head at Astresk, who nodded in confirmation.

"Alrighty!" The wolvine stood up on the star, stretching her arms. "Can do. I just need to figure out which world it is. On it!" She fell back, vanishing into a portal.

Phoenix staggered and caught her balance, back in her library. It was a massive place with towering walls of ancient books or scrolls. She vanished in a blur of purple, re-appearing in the air beside a specific shelf, using her abilities to keep her afloat.

The girl examined the spines of the books before hooking her claw on the top ridge of one, pulling it out from between two other books. The object landed into her hands and she flipped through the pages, muttering. It was a book listed with many, many Ancient beings from a lot of different worlds.

"The Core...The Seeker....The Collector...The Whisperer- why do all of these have 'The'?" She rolled her eyes, before continuing. "Philip/Belos, Horde Prime, Timekeeper, Stoneteller, Rock, Darkstalker, Muzan, Tikki, Plagg- why are there so many Kwami's? Ah! Gold!"

Phoenix halted on the page about 'Gold', a divine being that's linked with the golden Calamity stone of Power. Going off of the information here, Astresk was right and Gold would be a viable asset. How will they get her help, though? She's linked to a teenager, who Phoenix doubts wants to get tied into the mess of being a Timekeeper. She growled.

This is a frustrating situation. They need Golds help but she doesn't want to fuck up Valerie's life more than it already is.

Well, she's assuming it's already fucked up if she's in one of the Amphiba multiverses- but that's not the point.

If she converses with Giyuu and Astresk about this, they'll likely brush off her concerns. Giyuu will probably mention how she ended up fine and will likely also remark to young Demon Slayers he fought alongside of. Which isn't the same!

Astresk will say their issue is more important. How insensitive.

Phoenix sighed, torn. She shut the book.

Her best bet is just to talk to her. Gold and Valerie. Then she'll figure out what to do.

Is this even a good idea?
