The episode opens to a shot of the exterior of a large palace at night, before cutting to the master bedroom where the married couple of Stolas and Stella of the Ars Goetia are asleep.
"Mummy! Daddyyyy!" The frightened child's voice roused Stolas from his sleep. He blinks a few times before he turns to Stella who has most of the blanket.
"Mmph. Via's calling us, Stella." He groggily said to his wife who groaned at him
"You get up." She said in an annoyed tone as she took more of the blanket.
Stolas let out a heavy sigh before he removed himself from the bed. Frankly he was glad to get away from her for a short while but he needed to focus. Putting on his robe he quickly made his way to his daughter's room. Entering softly seeing his child hiding under the covers of her bed
"Via? What troubles you, my owlet?"
"Daddy! Daddy!" The young Octavia climbs down from her bed and runs into her father's arms. Stolas hoists her up to comfort her. "I had a dream! A really bad dream!"
"A nightmare." He corrected with a small yawn as he carried her back to her bed.
"I was looking all over the palace, and... I couldn't find you anywhere! You weren't there!" She sobbed as she hugged her father tighter.
"There there, Via, it's okay. You're okay." He gently rubbed her back as his grimoire began floating beside him. "When you're scared, and you don't know where I am, you must remember no matter what happens to me, I will never be far away from my special little starfire."
His lullaby finished, Stolas leaves as his young daughter settles to sleep, content. Cut to several years later, where a teenage Octavia is jolted awake by smashing objects and her parents screaming at each other, far less content. Sitting up with a scowl as she started yet another morning with her dysfunctional family.
"You inconsiderate bastard!" She heard her mother scream, followed by the sound of something smashing. "Do you have any idea how much work I put into that!"
"I'm sorry! It wasn't my idea!" Stolas could be heard frantically trying to explain himself. "I was blindfolded and dragged in there! I didn't know which room I was in! I promise net time to just go to a motel!"
"A motel?! Like a fucking PLEBEIAN?!" Stella yelled out once again, followed by even more sounds of destruction. "You can't even have the decency to own up to your own shit!"
Octavia, no longer wanting to hear her parents argue, grabs her phone and puts in earbuds, playing "My World is Burning Down Around Me" to tune out the screaming. It didn't help all that much but she continues to stride down the halls of the Goetia estate, stepping over the smashed remains of a plant thrown in her path. In the kitchen, Stella continues screaming at Stolas.
"You miserable Leviathan sized asshole!" Stella yells as she grabs an imp servant and violently tosses him in Stolas' direction.
"I promise I'll have everything replaced!" Stolas cries as he narrowly dodges the servant.
"You better!" She yells out, almost on the verge of tears, as she quickly leaves the room. "I'm not spending another moment looking at your pathetic, IMP-SUCKING FACE!!"
Stella storms out of the room, shouting angrily the entire time, and smashing more potted plants. Stolas sighs in exhausted exasperation before he notices his daughter has entered the kitchen. He couldn't help but let out a massive sigh as he watched her leave. Along with just how much trouble she is causing for their servants.
