The moment I landed in Udaipur my phone started to ring.

“Bro where the hell are you?” I heard the voice of my best friend, Karanraj, from the other side as soon as I picked it up.

“Calm the fuck down Karan, my flight landed just minutes ago, it was running late . Where should I come?”

“One of my guards is there holding your name sign, he’ll escort you to me.”

I looked around and found a tall muscular man wearing all black with shades on holding a sign that said ‘Raahil’. I started walking towards him, the moment he saw me he took my luggage from me and started guiding me towards a more secluded area outside the airport.

“What did I do right huh? The prince himself is picking me up!” I teased.

“Haan toh? Zyada nahi bol warna yahi chhod kar chala jaunga”
(So what? Don’t speak too much or I’ll leave you stranded here)

"Awww, mera prince gussa hogya?!”
(Awww, is my prince angry?!)

“Sunn ek kaam kar, tu wahi ruk thodi derr , mai abhi tere wapis Mumbai jaane ka intezam karta hu, jet me khud chhod kar aaunga, huh” he mocked.
(Listen, do one thing, wait there for some time while I arrange your journey back to Mumbai. I’ll drop you myself in the jet, huh)

As soon as he finished speaking , I reached him. There he was, leaning against the car , Rolls Royce Phantom.

Wearing a grey suit, glares covering his eyes. One hand ran through his hair while the other hand held the phone to his ears. I cut the call as I approached him.

“Too late for that now, K.” I said smiling.

“Raahil!”

He put his phone in the suit pocket and hugged me, tightly. I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him just as tightly.  I was sure he was going through a lot with his sister getting married. I knew how close they were.

“I missed you, it’s been too long since we last met," I said, pulling back.

“Yeah man! I can't even remember the last time! When was it ?”

“Uhh..don't you remember, 3 am drunk call, lots of tears?  Not my finest moment.” I replied, awkwardly.

As soon as the realization hit him, he asked, “Tu thik hai na?”
(Are you okay?)
