Aerabella stood solemnly by Mrs. Henson's graveside, the cold wind whipping through her hair as she watched the finality of the burial. Her heart ached with grief, but amid the sea of mourners, she caught sight of James, Mrs. Henson's son.
Their first encounter was far from pleasant. James, or Jay as he preferred to be called, lashed out at Aerabella, his bitterness palpable as he accused her of replacing him in his mother's life. Aerabella's attempts to explain herself fell on deaf ears, leaving her feeling wounded and misunderstood.
Despite their rocky start, Aerabella and Jay found common ground in their shared love for Mrs. Henson. Slowly, they began to mend the rift between them, their mutual grief forging a fragile bond of understanding.
As they delved deeper into their private investigation, tensions rose between Jay and Vello. Jay's mistrust of the investigator simmered beneath the surface, his protective instincts for his mother clouding his judgment.
Aerabella found herself caught in the middle, torn between her loyalty to Vello and her newfound friendship with Jay. Their arguments grew more frequent, each clash leaving her feeling torn and conflicted.
Amidst the chaos, Vello's feelings for Aerabella came to light. With a heavy heart, she gently rebuffed his advances, explaining that her focus remained solely on solving Mrs. Henson's murder. To her relief, Vello accepted her decision gracefully—or so she thought.
Walking home that evening, felt different to Aerabella. A sense of unease settled over her like a shroud. A shadowy figure trailed her through the deserted streets, and it rubbed her the wrong way. Sure, she'd been followed home before but there was something off about this particular perpetrator. Against her better judgment, her rational mind dismissed the notion, although her instincts yielded her legs to move faster.
Finally at home, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. A chilling realization formed in Aerabella's mind. Could Vello be involved in Mrs. Henson's murder? The thought was immediately cast aside by her overwhelming loyalty. If she couldn't believe in the one that'd been there for her this whole time... Her only best friend, then who could she trust? That level of conviction stopped the constant over thinking and unfortunately muffle all the warning bells going off in her mind.
Heart heavy and determination strong, Aerabella vowed to uncover the truth, no matter where the trail led, that much she owed to her teacher and she could finally clear her consciousness. Killing two birds with one stone.

•Little did she know, the path ahead was fraught with danger, and the shadows that lurked in the darkness held secrets far more sinister than she'd ever thought possible.

Sorry you guys I don't think I'll be able to finish this series right now, but I'm thinking of rebooting it at some point to make it more detailed because I realize it seems more rushed than anything. Almost Like a summary. For that, I apologize. I do wanna start another story though, yk while I'm trying to develop motivation for this one and while I rethink the storyboard more. I had these chapters written but I didn't publish them because of the lack of publicity. I realized that that was ok a little too late lol. Thank you for coming on this journey with me ( as short as it may be.) It was fun!!
