This book heavily involves religious themes and imagery, there are bible verses at the start of each chapter, these are not meant at all to influence you as a reader but merely to add to the story itself! I just wanted to put this as a precursor warning in case anything gives the impression that this is falling into bible basher territory!(which is absolutely not my intention at all btw)
Each verse at the start of a chapter comes from a book in the OLD testament. The Old Testament occurs first and shows us how the world began and how sin entered into the world. All original characters' names come from biblical figures, this alludes to what purpose they serve in the story.
