When there is a knock on his door, Jungkook opens it. "Attorney Jung." Jungkook smiles and instantly lets Hoseok into his apartment.
"Getting Tae's things from that bitch was insane. She refused to let me get his things until I called the police. Thankfully, Taehyung expected this, so he signed a document giving me the legal right to get his belongings." Hoseok explains with a tired sigh.
"Are you okay? Did she try to hurt you?" Jungkook asks with concern as he helps Hoseok roll all of the luggage into the bedroom.
"She threw a bottle of wine at me for 'trespassing.'" Hoseok chuckles and shakes his head. "Don't worry. It didn't hit me. The wine splattered on one of Tae's paintings, though." He sighs with a frown. "He loves his paintings, so I am grateful that it was protectively framed. Some movers are coming with his paintings."
"Oh, they can put the paintings anywhere in the living room. He can place them however he likes." Jungkook hums and looks at all of the luggage. "Is this everything other than the paintings?"
"This is all that he requested. He said to burn everything else." Hoseok chuckles as he remembers Taehyung's instructions.
When the paintings arrive, Jungkook instructs the movers to lean them against the living room walls. As he looks at the wrapped paintings, he wonders what the paintings look like.
"He's painting again," Hoseok whispers and walks over to the two finished paintings.
"Why did he stop?" Jungkook asks as he looks at Hoseok.
"I guess that life was becoming too much." Hoseok hums and smiles as he admires the paintings. "They are about you."
"Yeah." Jungkook nods and sits on the couch, where he slept the night before, hugging Taehyung's pillow.
"Thank you for loving him." Hoseok turns around and smiles at Jungkook. "I didn't realize how much I missed his smile until I saw it the other day."
"His smile is worth more than any treasure the world has to offer," Jungkook responds with a big smile.
"Aish. Why weren't you born sooner? He would have definitely fallen in love with you instead of her." Hoseok sighs and sits beside Jungkook on the couch.
"I'm sorry that I was born twelve years late." Jungkook chuckles and looks around his little apartment.
"I just want you to know that he is lucky to have met you. I know he does not take you or your heart for granted." Hoseok softly tells Jungkook.
"Thank you." Jungkook hums and looks at the apartment door. "I might have gotten attached a bit too quickly." He mutters as he continues to stare at the apartment door.
"Waiting for him to come home?" Hoseok asks with an amused and fond smile.
"Yeah." Jungkook nods and averts his gaze to the floor.
"He will. Don't worry." Hoseok pats Jungkook's back and then stands up. "Oh, call me 'Hyung.' I've grown quite fond of you in such a short time." He smiles and goes to the apartment door.
"Thanks, Hyung." Jungkook smiles at Hoseok.
That night, after Jungkook gets off of work, he enters the apartment and is shocked to find Taehyung in his kitchen, preparing gimbap. "You're back. Did you have a good night at work?" Taehyung smiles at Jungkook as the man stands at the door in shock.
"You're here," Jungkook mutters and slowly steps forward, worried that he is hallucinating.
"Yeah. I was missing-" Taehyung gasps when Jungkook engulfs him in a warm hug.
