Jaehyun watches the late-night news while Taehyung paints. Every now and then, Jaehyun glances at Taehyung and wonders how the professor met Jungkook.
"Breaking news!" Taehyung and Jaehyun startle when the news suddenly blares.
"Breaking news at night?" Taehyung mutters and turns his attention to the TV.
"Prosecutors were just seen entering Jeong Donggeun's residence. Here is live footage from the scene."
Jaehyun's eyes bug out as he watches prosecutors with large blue boxes enter his home. "Is this the result of your Hyung and Eunwoo's parents' meeting?" Eunwoo asks as he stares at the screen.
"Most likely." Taehyung hums and picks up Yeontan. "Eunwoo's parents must care about you a lot. I wonder what agreement they reached with my Hyung."
"Breaking news!" Taehyung and Jaehyun flinch a second time when the TV blares again.
They watch in shock as the anchor announces that Taehyung's ex-wife is being arrested for attacking and abusing several of her assistants. "They definitely came to an agreement and worked together," Taehyung mutters as he watches his ex-wife get arrested.
When Jungkook returns home from work, he finds Taehyung and Jaehyun staring at the TV with big eyes. Curious about what has their attention, he walks over to them. Seeing Taehyung's ex-wife being dragged to a police car surprises him.
"What happened?" Jungkook asks, surprising his boyfriend.
"She got arrested for beating her assistants. According to the news, she attacked like four of them." Taehyung responds as he quickly gets up to go to his boyfriend. "How was work? Are you hungry? The food is ready." He cups Jungkook's face and pecks his lips.
"I am starving." Jungkook hums and wraps his arms around Taehyung's waist. "You smell like paint." He mutters and buries his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck.
"Woah," Jaehyun whispers to himself as he quickly looks away from the two men.
"I'll go shower really fast." Jungkook pecks Taehyung's lips before going to the bathroom.
"Do you think that Youngho will ever forgive me? I took away his choice to decide how we got through what my grandfather was threatening." Jaehyun whispers with teary eyes. "I hurt him so much."
"I am not him, so I cannot tell you with certainty, but I do know that he still loves you. At the time, you both were very young, and you had no one to turn to for help. You were told that his future was in the hands of the man threatening you. His heart was not the only heart broken by your decision. Give him time and show him that you will not leave his side again. Even if things get hard again, work through them with him. You are both adults now, and you have people who care about you. However, you have to respect whatever decision he makes." Taehyung responds as he softly smiles at Jaehyun.
"I will respect his decision. I don't want to hurt him a second time." Jaehyun smiles with teary eyes.
"Didn't he tell you that he loves you?" Jungkook asks as he walks into the living room.
"Yes." Jaehyun nods.
"He wouldn't tell you that just to break your heart in the end. He forgave you the moment you told him the truth." Jungkook mutters and goes to the kitchen.
"But I hurt him so much. How can he forgive me so easily?" Jaehyun whispers with teary eyes. "Isn't he afraid that I will hurt him again?" Jaehyun cries and covers his face with his hands.
"It looks like you need to forgive yourself more than anything." Taehyung hums as he gently pats Jaehyun's back.
"I hurt him so much." Jaehyun sobs as Yeontan crawls into his lap and licks his teary face.
