The three heads stared down at me, and I had no idea what this monster was. But it was definitely the most terrifying thing I had ever seen.

"Be not afraid, Y/n, for I am not here to hurt you," the three heads said simultaneously, forming a melodious yet eerie echo. It was nothing like I had ever heard before; it sounded like what I imagined an alien would sound like. If this thing was truly an alien, it meant business.

Not only did this creature know my name, but it had also obliterated a monster with little to no effort. Whoever this hideous monster was, I should listen if I didn't want to end up like that other creature. I tried calming my racing heart by taking a deep breath.

It wasn't the smartest move to disrespect a creature such as this. I stood up silently, maintaining a cautious distance.

"May I ask how you know my name?" I said, trying to sound as polite as I could, even though my voice was still trembling.

"I can sense that you're still scared. Why is that?" it asked. Clearly, it wasn't self-aware enough to realize it was literally the most terrifying thing to exist.

Suddenly, the colossal alien-like entity began to shrink, and the brilliant light around it started to dim. Maybe it had decided to leave. Thank goodness—yes, it was leaving, and this was all just a fever dream.

But it didn't disappear; instead, it shrank to a more human size, with a bunch of glowing iridescent wings. Okay, I was still confused. This giant three-headed monster had now turned into a bunch of wings?

The uppermost wings hid where its face should be, if it had one. The lower wings covered its feet, and the middle ones fluttered gracefully to keep it afloat.

"You didn't answer my question earlier. How do you know my name?" I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

"I know your name because I am your guardian angel," the creature said. Its voice was soft and soothing, like music. Wait, I recognized this voice.

"Guardian angel? Show yourself," I asked.

The creature, who claimed to be my guardian angel, unfolded its wings, revealing a face that left me awestruck.

The beastly monster had transformed into a beautiful young man with sparkling hair and a golden wreath that glowed like a halo. He was adorned in white with golden accents.

He looked absolutely gorgeous—a beast turned into beauty. He looked familiar. Wait, I remembered seeing him before collapsing.

"Who are you?" I asked, still in shock.

"Just as I said, I am your guardian angel, Raphael, the angel of healing," he replied.

An angel? I wasn't crazy after all. But maybe I was just imagining this. I had been through a lot today, and my mind might be playing tricks on me.

He looked at me with such tenderness. He took a step closer, and I instinctively stepped back.

"Are you also scared of this form too? Should I change into the original form?" he asked, frowning.

"No, please don't change. Stay like this," I said quickly. He looked at me with his one pair of eyes.

We stared at each other awkwardly—well, I felt awkward, while he just had a big smile on his face like it was plastered there. Maybe I should ask him some questions.

"Why am I just seeing you now if you're my guardian angel?" I asked.

"I'm not so sure myself. I've been your guardian angel for months now, and you had never realized I was by your side. I was really surprised when you reacted to my presence," he said, his voice gentle and slow.
