As I reached Zhongli he just smiled at me politely, saying "Hello Y/n, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"How do you know my name?" I asked curiously.

"Xiao told me." He said, making me wonder if Xiao had told him something bad about me, even if we met just one time.

"Oh... Is everything okay?" I asked a bit nervous about what he would answer.
Zhongli just chuckled. "He has been telling me just so much about you, so I wanted to meet you in person."

"Telling so much about me? We just met once..." I muttered slowly.
"I have to go now, but we'll see each other soon." Was the last thing he said before disappearing.

After that I decided to go to the Wangshu Inn again, to find out more about Xiao.

As I walked my usual path I thought about our first encounter and had to smile. Also I hoped to see the grumpy Yaksha again.

When I entered the Inn immediately went upstairs, hoping to see if Xiao again. And I saw him, sitting on the railing, eyes closed and leaning onto his polearm. He looked like he was sleeping.

I quietly approached him and gently placed my hand on his shoulder.
"Xiao, are you awake?" I asked softly.
"Mhnn... Y/n why are you here..." He mumbled like he was still half asleep.

I knew there was something strange since Adeptis don't need sleep.
"Xiao are you okay?" I asked, now in a more worried tone.

"Can you bring me Almond tofu?" He muttered slowly.
I nodded and went to get a plate of almond tofu.

Xiao looked at me with a grateful look in his eyes as I gave him the almond tofu.

"Thank you..." He said quietly and started to eat the tofu.

Suddenly I heard a quiet sob.
I look at Xiao just to see him with tears rolling over his cheeks with him sobbing.
"Hey... It's okay..."

I slowly hugged him while he started to cling on me crying into my shoulder.
"Shh..." I gently stroke his back trying to calm him down.

After a few minutes Xiao's breathing was steady again but he continued to bury his face into my shoulder and mumbled "Please stay..."
"Don't worry, I will.
