Part 12 [How am I supposed to walk?]

I opened my eyes
"Guys?" I looked out in the isle
"SHES AWAKE!" Aiden ran over and hugged me
"Uhhhh how do I walk?" I asked
"Oh..." Taylor walked over and sat beside me
"I can carry you." Aiden smiled
"Alright." I smiled

Tyler and Ashlyn started arguing we decided to take a vote. We decided to wait one year.

They went and dug up a white board
"This is our first goal." She started writing
"How do we do that?" Tyler asked

First main objective:
Gun shop

"We need better weapons." Ashlyn put the lid on the market
"How do we do that?" Tyler asked again
"Well, first we need to do two things."

-Fortify graveyard walls
-Bring jeep into graveyard

"As we know injury's heal faster here. Well wait till Y/N is healed since she can drive best out of us all." Ashlyn looked over at me
"My parents jeep is the closest to the graveyard so that's the car we can use." She paused
"Does anyone have any ideas on how to fortify the walls?" She asked. Ben drew the wall with barbed wire.

"That might work if they were regular humans." Tyler said pointing out the fact that they could climb them
"Oh yeah. Good try Ben." Taylor hugged him

"Since they don't react well to light, would light fixtures work?" Aiden asked
"Not to sure if the generator has enough power...most of the power goes to the door so if they went off when we opened the door what's the point?" Ashlyn answered

"Some solar lights."
"Oh yeah, that would work."
"How do we get them?"

"Oh, leave that to me! I've been saving up my allowance for a while now." Aiden pointed at himself
"Allowance? how much do you have?"
"Uhm about ___." Aiden answered

"Anyway...I have a card so I can order them and have them shipped here." Aiden tilted his head
"Oh yeah, Aiden can I have your knife?" Ashlyn asked

"Yeah wh-" He stopped
"These need to go." Ashlyn cut her braids
"Ash, can you cut mine?" I asked
"Mhm." She knelt behind me and I felt the weight of my braids go away.

Me and Ashlyn both looked at our shadows.
"Huh...that's weird." She held her braids up. She helped me up.
"How are your legs?" She asked
"They hurt. I think I can walk." I stood up and kinda had to shimmy to the closet.

"Can you order those lights during lunch?" Ashlyn asked
"Yeah." I replied
"Where's Y/N?" Taylor asked
"I don't know. She walked off when we got to school." Ashlyn shrugged

"Found her." Tyler looked up from her phone. My eyes widened as I looked up and saw what was happening.
