Eight floors down in the Slytherin boys dorms sleep was no where in sight as the Slytherins sat in bed passing a bottle of fire-whiskey around.
"I can't believe you got Looney Lovegood, Theo. At least Red's got her head on straight," Blaise chuckled.
"Hey, she's not that bad."
"Oh my word, he's defending her already," Daphne said looking beside her at where Theo sat next to her in bed.
"I am not, I just think that if I have to marry her, maybe I shouldn't let you guys talk shit about her."
Pansy nodded in understanding before she said, "Yeah I guess... Should we really be in bed with each other if we're all technically engaged?"
She looked around the room, her and Blaise were in his bed, Theo and Daphne were together and Draco sat on his own.
"I don't think it's a problem, they're not here and it's not like we're doing anything. We're just talking," Theo answered.
"Hey, what's up with you? You haven't said anything about this whole new law," Blaise said looking at Draco, who'd been silent the whole time.
"Just thinking about how I have to marry and procreate with a woman I've called a mudblood for the last seven years," he muttered hopelessly as he stared up at the ceiling and took a big gulp of fire-whiskey. He winced at the burning feeling of it going down his throat, "She hates me, you can see it in her eyes."
"She doesn't hate you, strong, strong dislike yes, but not hate," Pansy said looking at Draco.
"And you know we've tried to put that blood prejudice stuff behind us. I'm sure if you apologise, and work your ass off to show her that you mean it, she'll come around," Theo continued.
"Let's hope so," Draco said.
"I wonder what McGonagall meant with housing arrangements," Daphne said changing the topic.
"We probably have to live with them or something, don't how or where but...", Draco shrugged.
"That's going to be interesting"

"Bloody Hell!"
Hermione jumped as she was startled awake by Ginny's voice. She stood up from where she still sat on the windowsill, the side of her face cold from falling asleep against the window, and walked over to where Ginny was sat up in bed, her eyes as wide as saucers. Parvati was no where to be seen so Hermione assumed she had already gone down to the great hall.
"What's wrong Gin?"
Ginny started at her in disbelief before she said, "I just realised that I have to marry and have a kid with Blaise Zabini!"
"You only realised this now?" Hermione asked with a chuckle.
"Well... no. But it's sunk in now."
Hermione laughed, "Come on, let's get dressed, we need to go down to breakfast."
Ginny and Hermione walked through the empty common room, neither Harry or Ron were there. How late had they woken up?
It appeared that Ginny was getting used to the idea of Zabini because just before they entered the great hall, she suddenly started talking after their mostly silent walk.
"You know, they aren't that bad to look at."
"What are you on about?"
"Zabini and Malfoy, they aren't bad looking. Quidditch has done them wonders," She said dreamily.
