The next few weeks went by smoothly, sort of. There was that one morning...
Knock, knock knock. Hermione banged on Ginny's door. After a few seconds Zabini answered while fixing his tie.
"Just the person I was looking for," Hermione said before she grabbed his sleeve and dragged a very confused Zabini down to her room.
She pointed towards where Malfoy lay fast asleep on the bed.
"He won't wake up and breakfast ends soon. It's the first day of classes, he needs to get ready."
"What makes you think I know how to wake him up?"
"You shared a dorm with him for seven years, I think you have more experience in this area," she stated.
"Yeah okay, I've got a trick to get him up, but he gets pissed at me when I do it. So it's normally a last resort. Watch and learn ladies," he said. Ginny had appeared and come to stand next to Hermione with a bemused look on her face.
Blaise pointed his wand at Malfoy's head and muttered 'Aguamenti.' Clear, ice cold water spouted put of his wand and onto Malfoy's sleeping face.
"What the fuck, Zabini!" he yelled jumping out of bed.
"Sorry mate" Blaise said laughing. "But you need to get up, Breakfast ends in 20 minutes."
"Fine, now get the hell out, you insufferable twat."
"Love you too Draco," he said walking out of the room and blowing him a kiss.
Malfoy begrudgingly got up and dressed and when he got downstairs, still with a tired look in his eyes, Blaise was sat there waiting for him. The girls already left he told him.
Besides that morning, Hermione and Malfoy avoided each other completely. Until, of course, they went to bed and slept next to each other in utter silence with a divider of pillows between them. Hermione scoffed at the irony of it all as she climbed into the steaming hot shower on a Saturday morning, Malfoy hadn't been there when she woke which she was grateful for. Granted she had gotten used to seeing a half naked Malfoy in the morning, he slept in just loose boxers. Her thoughts drifted to images of muscled chests and sleep-ruffled hair. No, she couldn't be thinking these things.
She tipped her head back and closed her eyes as the hot water flowed over her skin and relaxed her muscles. You know, just because she doesn't like him, doesn't mean she can't appreciate his body. It took years of quidditch training to look like that, that took a lot of work. She was just appreciating a piece of art.
The steam that built up on the glass of the shower blocked most of her view of the rest of the bathroom and the sound of the water drowned out all other noises. She opened her eyes, relaxed and happy, and was about to step out of the shower when...
"Oh my god!"
Hermione grabbed the towel that was hanging next to the shower and wrapped it around herself as she stepped out.
"What the fuck are you doing here!?" she screeched.
"I live here, I thought you would have noticed that after so many weeks. I feel insulted," he feigned hurt and put a hand over his heart. He stood in the middle of the bathroom as he dripped water and mud off his quidditch robes.
"Malfoy, what are you doing in my bathroom!"
"Our bathroom," He corrected as his eyes raked over her body with a lazy gaze and she suddenly became very aware of that fact that she was standing in front of Draco Malfoy in nothing but a towel, a towel that now seemed very small, "and in case you haven't noticed it's tipping down out there and I'm about five minutes away from turning hypothermic. So get out and let me bath."
