Chapter 16: The base problems
Narrator's POV
The peaceful times are like slow poisons.
*Kaboom*
Instead of numbing your body, slowly eating away the power in your cells till death, They eat away your vigilance and Power till you're afraid of living life any way other than peacefully...
That is not a good way to live.
A life fearing the end of peace.
*CRicccck KA-DUUUM... FUMFUM*
If there were no dangers then likewise there would be no chance for growth, Only through hardships would one really grow.
Like iron in water, the way it rusts
Easy times create soft men... Who are capable of a lot more.
*Rumble*
But what about Men who had been through too many hardships?
Men who could no longer enjoy the peaceful times in constant expectations of hard times?
Men who grew from numerous setbacks, then suddenly were tossed into the disarray of having a peaceful time.
Men who were an enigma, Monsters to those around them... Those opposing them?
What do they do after suddenly being placed in a serene situation?
As stated, Easy Times creates Weaklings.
Hard Times create Monsters.
But would Easy times ever change the nature of a monster?

First Person's POV
The Cullen Coven and the Goldling Coven decided to use the thunderstorm and gloomy weather to their advantage, With the added bonus of the human female and umpire, Bella, The family went to a forest deep in the heart of the forest to play a friendly game of baseball.
As friendly as beings faster than horses and capable of lifting tons could get.
Every time the bat hit the baseball, It made a sound akin to thunder, Which blended in nicely with the surroundings and weather, No human would be dumb enough to live their house in a thunderstorm and come to the forest especially with the animal killings.
"Why isn't Alistair playing?"
Bella asked Esme, Noticing how everyone except Alistair and Linda were playing, Linda didn't care too much, She seemed to enjoy the time lying around contrary to the life of an Unknown Billionaire Vampire, She didn't have to fly from place to place and meet up with other billionaires to talk about expanding wealth anymore to curb her boredom or loneliness, Right now she was drinking her special flavoured blood while using a portable chair and table, Even with her current environment she still managed to look elegant somehow.
But Alistair?
Why wasn't he playing?
"Alistair is kind of an unfair advantage."
Esme replied Bella, But that just gave the girl even more questions.
"An unfair advantage even among Vampires?"
Bella didn't know what to say, right now, Her eyes could barely keep up with the speed at which everyone in the game was moving, They were blurs to her, They were faster than anything she could think of, Yet they all voted Alistair out of the game.
