School went on the next few days, and as usual, Kenma would silently make it through the day. Going to practice with Yaku breathing on his back about every move and training they had to do. He'd close his eyes and count to a certain number because just about everything would tick him off. But even if he were ticked off, he wouldn't do anything about it but swallow that tiny bit of annoyance because he was just not an outspoken person. And to kill time, he'd mentally tally up the times Lev begged him to toss for him. The amounts of "Kenma-san, one more!" seemed endless.

Nothing new happened between he and Kuroo. Kenma constantly found himself actually looking for that chronic bedhead. He was so unreachable considering he was the class representative. Even during lunch breaks, while everyone set up their tables together to each lunch, he'd be up and running with plenty of people surrounding him. Kenma didn't understand why Kuroo was class representative of his class, he didn't have good grades or anything, but he supposed their class found out about Kuroo's great leadership skills and Kuroo some how won the votes by being popular.

Even if they weren't able to talk to one another during school, they had a numerous amount of eye contacts. And every time their eyes met, it'd leave Kenma with a faster heartbeat, and Kuroo with a satisfied smile that Kenma was looking for him in the first place.

And finally, the Friday before the weekend of their planned date, Kuroo sped over to Kenma's class. He slammed the door open before everyone in the room was ready to go, and ran to Kenma's desk after school just as the bell rang, with a warm welcoming smile that made Kenma at ease. Kenma put away his PSP in his volleyball bag and stood from his seat about to greet his significant other but was stopped by Kuroo's hands, who pushed Kenma back down into his seat.

"Wait, sit back down." Kuroo said in a low and hushed tone. "What is it?" Kenma looked at Kuroo, still conscious of the giant palm resting on his slanted shoulder, aware of whether to relax or not. "Here, look." Kuroo took his hand off Kenma's shoulder and reached for a crumbled piece of paper from his jersey jacket's pocket. He bent and knelt on the floor with one knee, getting on Kenma's eye level. He smooths out the paper and revealed scribbles of ink. "What is this?" Kenma asked, making eye contact, clearly because he didn't want to lose such a great chance of seeing his... partner's face up close.

Kenma studied Kuroo's face as Kuroo began to speak again. "It's a list of places we could visit for our up coming date, unless you forgot."

How could I forget?

Kenma scrunches his face jokingly, "Oh yeah we had a date planned."

Why did I do that? Oh my god, what is wrong with me?

Kenma's forming anxiety was quickly erased as he heard the air coming out of Kuroo's nose, taking it as the joke it was.

"Okay Kiddo, well just look over it and we'll meet at the train station tomorrow at 11:00," Kuroo stood up and brushed the specks of dust off his red pants, and later using his clean hand to brush through his scalp as he walks away, with a face of a regretful smile as if he said something wrong.

Kiddo...?

"Oh!" He turns back, "And just text me tonight about where-"

"Kuroo-senpai!" A second year girl looking a bit too excited called out with a stack of papers, cheeks flushed, Kenma assumed they were for Kuroo.

"Ahh I have to go, see you tomorrow!" He waives to Kenma as he skidded over to the girl.

Kenma sleeps that night worrying about what to wear in the morning, whether he should look extra nice or just casual, he's never gone on a date before so he wondered if he wore a suit... would it be too much? And he pictures a scenario where he wore a suit and went out tomorrow, and Kuroo was wearing beach shorts and a tank top.
