𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟓 - 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬

Mary Margaret smiled, "In fact, we were talking about Rylee ."

Dr. Whale paled and looked extremely uncomfortable. "Uh- Well perhaps you, uh, dozed off. Perhaps you imagined it. I need to get going." He said and left before either Mary Margaret or Henry could say anything else .

Mary Margaret chuckled.

"What was that about?" Henry asked and Mary Margaret shrugged. "I have no idea."

"I'll see you later, Ms. Blanchard! I have to go meet Rylee ." Henry said as he ran out of the room.

Mary Margaret chuckled fondly as she watched him go.

Soon a woman came into the room. "Hello, I'm Dr. Gia. I was sent by Dr. Whale. He informed me that you said the patient moved?"

Mary Margaret nodded and watched as Dr. Gia began to check over John Doe.

"You must have imagined it. This man couldn't have grabbed anyone." Dr. Gia said, looking annoyed that her time was wasted.

Mary Margaret shook her head as she stared at the other woman. "No, I didn't imagine anything."

The doctor gave her a look. "Miss Blanchard, I was trained by Dr. Whale himself. I'm the best at what I do. And I can only tell you what I see, which is nothing. Sometimes there are minor fluctuations in readings. Perhaps you heard the machine register something and misunderstood?" She said, her tone suggesting that she was speaking down to Mary Margaret.

Dr. Gia gave Mary Margaret a 'sympathetic' look. "Its clear that you've been here too long. You should go home, get some rest. It'll help you see things clearer. When you come back, you'll be able to see that this man is basically a vegetable. Which means no movement and no brain activity." 

Mary Margaret gives the woman a glare. 

The doctor flinched and was quick to leave the room.

Regina is now shown on screen.

She groans when her phone rings but picks it up anyway. "Yes? " She answers.

"It's Dr. Whale. You told me to call you if there was ever a change in a John Doe. Something's happened." Dr. Whale said.

Regina sat up straighter. "What? "

Dr. Whale nodded before realizing that she couldn't see it. "One of our volunteers said he grabbed the person they were with. And there was a slight fluctuation in brain activity. "

Regina raised her eyebrow. "And who was this volunteer? " She asked.

"Mary Margaret Blanchard. " Dr. Whale answered with a smile , thinking that Regina was going to go after the woman.

Unfortunately for him, Regina wasn't surprised and she wasn't planning on going after Mary Margaret.

Regina hangs up the phone and rolls her eyes. 

TIME SKIP

Henry and Rylee are sitting in Granny's diner.

"How did it go with my mysterious father?" Rylee asked, curious.

Henry beamed. "It was great! I made sure to tell grandpa all about you. And he grabbed my hand! I think he's going to wake up soon."

Rylee looked surprised before she smiled. "Well then, I can't wait to meet him."
