Chapter 11: Should have been me

*KAYLA'S POINT OF VIEW*

I opened my eyes, and Zayn wasnt beside me, so i walked up to the lounge and saw Zayn talking to both Liam and Louis.

"How do you think they found our base,when we are so hidden?".

"Zayn, im afraid someone has sold us out... someone in our headquarters have turned on us and told the attackers".

"Who do you think it is?".

"I dont know, but all i know is we should all be careful who we trust".

At those words i grew worried every second, Zayn walked over to me.

"Kayla, lets go to get something to eat".

"Ok"

 Zayn brought me to the cafe and i asked

"Um. whats going on?".

"Its not safe to say it here, because we dont know who we can trust".

i grew quiet, because i was frightened. We went back to headquarters and went into my room,

"Now?".

"Well Kayla, someone in our headquarters has turned on us and gave our location to the attackers, and now they may be attacking soon..".

"But who could it be?".

"We dont know, but all we know is we cant trust anyone anymore".

"So what do we do now?"

" We think its better to go to the hidden tower, its the only place left we can hide from the attackers, we are moving tonight so get ready if you will".

I shook my head because there is no time to argue, i packed everything and said my last goodbyes to everyone. Only me ,Zayn,Louis,and Liam were going to the hidden tower. It was nightfall and we started to move i could hardly see but , i clinged on to Zayn's arm so i wouldnt get lost. Everything was pitch black... all of a sudden..

*BANG*

A gunshot was fired, i look to see who it was... but then it was me.. i was shot  in the stomache and i collasped onto the floor.

"Zayn, lad hurry put Kayla on your shoulder, we have to get there already". Liam said

*ZAYN'S POINT OF VIEW*

i could feel Kayla's blood dripping on to my face, but i didnt care, im not going to let her die. We arrived at the tower and saw our boss Niall waiting for us.

"Oh my lord, we have to get her inside".

I layed her on the bed, and everyone was rushing to get medicine and bandages, i removed Kayla's shirt so we could heal the wound, it was bleeding bad. Niall removed the bullet and applied medicine then wrapped it in bandages. I have failed Kayla,her parents,and everyone, it was my duty to protect her , i should have been the one shot. Tears ran down my face for the first time.

"Niall, please tell me she's going to be alright?".

"Well Zayn. she's lost a lot of blood, and she's still unconcious, its still unsure but we all should pray for Kayla".

Everyone was silent.. we all hoped that Kayla would live... why didnt i die instead?!

WHO SHOT KAYLA?

WILL SHE LIVE?
