Chapter 48 The Final Ark Part 3

4 weeks go by and one night as you were laying in bed.

Y/N: Sarah? Are you still awake.

Sarah turns over a bit to face you while laying down on her side.

Sarah: is something the matter, Y/N? Having trouble falling asleep?

Y/N: a little bit, but I'll be alright. It's been 4 weeks now and me and zod are feeling more comfortable with each other. The thing is, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get him to race again; I know he's scared, but I want to do this for us.

Sarah: don't worry about it, Zod knows that you mean well by him. And horse will always trust it's rider when you're out on the track. Never forget that.

Y/N: Sarah, are you happy that you came with me?

Sarah: I do feel a bit homesick being away from horseland, but don't worry, as long as I'm with you, I'm happy. Can't wait to spend more time with you after all this.

You and Sarah than cuddle each other in bed. Sarah wanted to be closer to you, so she wrapped her legs around yours to be closer to you. You both were now warm with each other.

The next morning.

You and zod were at the corral being watched by lucky and Sarah. They were admiring your bonding with your horse. Zod was just happy to stretch his legs out a little bit; Arthur showed but a few minutes later.

Arthur: howdy, girls, what you both been up to? I know he's handsome, but you shouldn't be starring at him the whole time.

Sarah giggled a bit.

Sarah: I know he's very handsome, but I admire his ability to bond with his horse just like that.

Arthur: I was talking about the horse, Sarah.

Sarah blushes out of embarrassment as Arthur than laughs about it a little bit. That made lucky giggle as well.

Sarah: anyways, what brings you here, Arthur? You came to check on us again? As you can see we're doing just fine.

Arthur: I know that, but I talked to Y/N and I came here to teach him a few things. I know it's only February, but we have a long way to go before he can enter the track again.

Sarah than looks over at you and zod. You both were doing just fine, but Arthur was right. She saw you get on zod and started to gallop around a bit, but zods turns we're pretty slow and sluggish.

Arthur: looks like I got some work to do now. Allow me, ladies.

Arthur than hops the fence and than makes his way over to you. Zod was nervous as Arthur came, he still is a bit skittish about things; he's been different since the incident.

Arthur: this is snow, Y/N, your horse has gone so use to dirt that he's forgotten when other elements are there; you need to consider your horse and how he feels about riding.

Y/N: hey, Arthur, I was wondering when you'd show up really. I was worried you forgotten about me.

Arthur: I would never forget about you, boy. Anyways, I came where to teach you and zod the professions of racing. Right now, you both seem one sided.

Y/N: what do you mean? We're both fine. Zod just needs to get use to racing at top speeds again.

Arthur looks at zod and than pats the horse on the nose. He than looks into the horses eyes and than he looks back to you.
