"Hey slugger." Colin said joining me in the library

I looked up from my books and smiled at him. He smile back sitting across from me.

"Hey what's up?" I asked him running my fingers through my hair.

I was stress.

"Well you look like you're going to explode any second now." He laughed

I cracked a smile "yeah probably."

Me and Colin have been becoming really good friends lately and I really liked our friendship. I needed a friend like him. Plus he is a great study partner.

"Oh I have a present for you." He said digging into his bag

"Ooo I like presents." I jokes which caused him to laugh.

He pulled out and folder and slide it my way. I picked up the folder and look at it confused.

"It's the volunteer list you ask me to do. All spots are filled and in order." He answered for me before I could even asked

My face lite up like a Christmas tree.

"You are awesome." I chirped

"I know." He bluffed leaning back in his chair

"No seriously this is awesome and you sure no one is backing out? They're all in?" I said

He nodded "yup I got reliable people. Don't doubt my skills Payton."

"I'm not doubting anything."

"Good." He opened up his books

"Actually while your here and not doing your work because I know you really get into that." I slide over the designs for the t-shirts I want to sell "what do you think about these designs before I make the order. The volunteer shirts at just going to be black with white lettering."

He looked over the designs examining the carefully.

"They are going to be in different colors and they will be available on short and long sleeves." I continued

"Payton these are awesome. I like the fireworks in the background and the font these are awesome." Colin said handing me back the designs

"I'm glad I have your approval."

"I'm the only approval you need." He smiled

"Well that's great." I smiled back

"What's great?" Kade walked up to me

I looked up at him and smiled

"Hey what are you doing here?" I was happy to see him

Who was I kidding I was always happy to see him.

He sat down next to me. He was really close to me. I looked at Colin and he looked uncomfortable. I let out a little laugh.

"I was looking for you and I knew you had a free period but I didn't think you would spend it in a library." He eyed Colin which made Colin tense up.

"Stop it." I whispered

Kade rolled his eyes

"Colin this is Kade and Kade this is Colin he is a friend and secretary of student council." I emphasized on the friends part.

Kade was really the jealous type.

I don't know why we aren't even together.

I don't even know what we are.
