After pondering on her decision for the remainder of the week, Lucia eventually picked. She'd start working for the mafia leader, Aldo Viscuso. She trembled as she picked her phone up, and looked for him in her contacts list. Lucia found his number, and took a deep breath before pressing the 'call' button. She anxiously waited for him to pick up, listening closely to the tones of the call. Eventually, he picked up.

'Miss Malgeri! Hello, what is it?'
'Ah, Aldo.. I decided. I want to work for you.'
'Excellent! Are you able to come in next monday?'
'Yeah, I'm able... I have nothing planned. So that'll be my first workday?'
'Correct, it'll be your first workday. Same building, same office as our first meeting. Be there at 9:00 A.M sharp.'
'Oh, alright! See you then!'
'Goodbye.'

When she heard that Aldo hung up, she threw herself on her bed. She finally got work! Lucia sighed with relief before getting off and going to the living room, where her father currently was lounging on one of the sofas. 'Dad? I got the job!' She exclaimed happily, and her father perked up immediately. 'Really? That's my girl! Good job, fiore!' He got up from the couch and hugged her, kissing her forehead too. 'Let's go tell your mother, she's in the garden.' He said and dragged her outside to the garden, where her mother was planting a few flowers. Her father stood beside her mother with a big grin, and her mother looked at him with suspicion. 'What did you do now?' Her mother asked, giggling. Lucia's father turned to Lucia, gesturing for her to tell her mother the news. 'I got the job, ma! I can finally work!' Lucia exclaimed with glee. Her mother stood up and squealed with excitement, hugging Lucia tight. 'I knew you could do it! I'm so proud of you, sweetheart.' Her mother also kissed Lucia on her forehead. 'I say we go dine out tonight, to celebrate!' said her mother. Lucia's father nodded in agreement.

Later, in the evening, all three got dolled up to go to a restaurant. On her way inside, Lucia accidentally bumped into a waiter, who then accidentally spilled a glass of wine on a table and guest. 'Oh my, I'm so, so sorry!' Lucia exclaimed, shocked. She looked at who the guest was, and it was Matteo, Aldo's son. He sat with his two brothers, Nico and Amerigo. Matteo groaned and glared at Lucia, his suit covered in red wine. 'Oh no... I'm really sorry!' Lucia exclaimed, searching for money in her wallet. 'No, don't worry about it. I don't need your money, ragazza.' said Matteo as he grabbed a handkerchief to dry and clean his suit the best he could. Lucia could feel her cheeks burning from embarrassment, but she continued walking to her table with her parents. She sat down with them. 'Oh my god, how embarrassing..' She  mumbled and didn't dare look in Matteo's direction. Matteo glared at her one last time, before he turned back to his brothers. He was a tall, dark handsome man with beautiful facial features, and Lucia was sure he probably had some other beautiful features... wait, what was she thinking?! She can't think like that, he's literally the son of her new boss! She shook her head to herself, before turning to her parents, who were looking at her confused. 'Who was the poor man the waiter spilled wine on? An old friend or something?' Her mother asked. Lucia shook her head. 'No... he's not a friend or anything, he's the son of my boss, his name's Matteo..' She said. Her father looked at her shocked. 'What? That is Matteo? And the others beside him are Aldo's other boys, Amerigo and Nico.. oh my, they've grown quite a lot!' Her father exclaimed, looking at the three men, who were having a heated discussion about something, but from their table, it was hard to hear.

After dinner, Lucia and her parents were on their way to the parking lot. As they stood beside the car, they suddenly heard muffled screams coming from across the parking lot. Lucia looked over and saw Matteo and Amerigo standing over a man, who was laying on the ground with a gag in his mouth. Lucia's breath hitched and she slowly grabbed her phone to record. Matteo looked up from the man, and saw Lucia recording on her phone. He stormed off towards her, and grabbed her phone. 'Just what do you think you're doing?!' Matteo yelled. 'I- I'm sorry, I'm really sorry! I just got worried!' Lucia exclaimed and covered her head, bracing for impact. Matteo looked her up and down, before he went on her phone and deleted the footage. He gave the phone back to Lucia. 'Don't let it happen again.' Matteo said before going back to Amerigo and the man. Lucia trembled as she put her phone back in her pocket, and turned to her parents. 'Let's just go home..' She whispered and got in the car. Without hesitation, her parents got in the car and they drove off.

Over the next few days, Lucia prepared herself for the first day of her job. On monday, she nervously went back to the building she first met Aldo in. If she had to be honest, she was terrified. What if Matteo told Aldo about what she did? What if she loses her job, just because of that?! .. But to her surprise, Aldo mentioned nothing of it. He showed her around the building, and showed her to her new office.
'This'll be your new office, where you will be working. Sometimes I will hold meetings in my office with potential.. business partners, and you will have to be there. You'll give me legal advice, and tell me what's the best decision to make. And if people come with problems, lawsuits, whatever, you deal with it. Got it?' Aldo told Lucia with a wide grin, showing one golden tooth. Lucia nodded. 'Alright.. thank you so much..' She looked around her office and saw a stack of papers on her desk. She sighed, and she turned to talk to Aldo, but he was already gone. Seems like she'll just have to start working, which meant filling in all those papers.. great.
