7: little sunshine girl {p-eng)

Have you ever

tried to feel but you are numb,
said it "wrong" and then felt dumb,
like you're not that good at keeping it together?

You're so tired but you can't sleep,
like breaking down, but you must keep
smiling for the little sunshine girl forever.

Have you ever

felt so angry you could scream,
or you're so afraid to dream
cause the nightmares have been keeping you awake?

You're reminded every night
that you failed her countless times
and you're drowning in your small self-pity-lake.

Cause your insecurities
have been gnawing at you heart,
tearing every tiny inch of it apart.

And it's like a bad disease,
killing you from the inside
destroying every place she is seeking to hide.

Now the little sunshine girl
is so lost in this big world
searching for a place where she belonged alone.

But there's ashes everywhere,
it's broken beyond repair,
barely resembling what she used to call "home".
